WASTED MY TIME  All this "developer power", what for?

TextEdit, Bean, Smultron, Textwrangler, etc., are better and they are free, so what for?

SYZZYGY  It's all right for what it is, something basic and simple, but I just don't know why one would specifically choose Plain Text Editor over any number of other simple text editors out there.

There's a shareware fee of $20 for this which is ridiculous.

I would definitely choose the simple yet elegant, and FREE, "Smultron" over Plain Text Editor.  (Version 3.0)
