DESCRIPTION
It is the first configurable radio-controlled helicopters simulator for Macintosh Mac OS X.
It simulates the behavior and the control of real radio-controlled helicopters.
You can pilot the RC helicopters with the keyboard, a digital gamepad, a dual analog gamepad, a fake radio-transmitter or even a real radio-transmitter.
The simulator is fully configurable (sceneries, helicopters, controls, gyroscope, pilot, weather, display, ...).
A free and growing library of new sceneries and helicopters is available on our website.
You can modify or build your own sceneries and helicopters.

NEWFLYER I have a Walkera 4CH RC Helicopter (http://www.hj2k.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=DRAFLYE), I have tested the transmitter with the sim and it is working. Just want to share this to people with the same helicopter

CECIL DONAHO This SW is not worthy of Mac status. I anticipated my aquisition of OS X so I could use this simulator. It's free, whoopee! It is user unfriendly. Try to obtain info re. compatible controllers or even using the keyboard as a controller. To obtain a real simulator I will purchase a cheapie, PeeCee and a real simulator. Designed for a Mac. what a joke. Oh! Are they hiding info re. the $30 registration fee?

RANDAL L. SCHWARTZ It's not "the one and only RC helicopter simulation". x-plane (www.x-plane.org) has had an RC helicopter for quite some time, and it works with flightsticks too. nice.

PORTHOS Does anybody remember R/C Stuntcopter on the Playstation? that was good and reminds me of this simulator. Except this one is pants. Its fun for the first 2 minutes then the "WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" sound of the propellers gets to much to bare and you really have to turn your speakers right down. I am sure there is an option to turn the sound off but finding it while its whirring its very annoying. It really does not run that well either, even though it looks very simple I get about 10 fps on a geforce 4 ti 4600. I have also had the first beta version when it was realeased a while back and thought it could possibly get better....but if this is close to the Official 1.0 release..........oh dear. Still, it is fun and I personally have no idea how to make a game...so well done on that part, but it needs alot more thought before it becomes an official version. Another thing.........if this is a simulator.....how comes you can slam it into the floor at xx mph and have no damage?? it just resets. I thought simulators where about realism? Still, good set of features and configurable options......a Helicopter cam view would have done nicely.

As some have not understood the purpose of this program, here it is. A similator of Remote - Controled helicopters. Normaly used with the real Remote control. Used to practice before going outdors with the real thing. It is therefore not a game. There is no need for a crash sequence, only to understand that you've touched the ground too hard. try taking off and piloting while it is facing you. That's level 2 of the game ! Level 3 : Try taking off and making a right circle around you and touch down nicely. It's does what it should, simply, efficiently. Bravo.

SMOKEONIT can someone tell me how this works? tried for 15min everything, can't movethe thang:-) cordfredericromberg@mac.com i never have flown or handeled an helicopter.... sorry for bothering, but i wanna try this out, and the documentation is rather limited, i know, beta, i don't wine, just wanna test and play it:-)

JOEL NELSON Great for a free program but rather difficult to operate. Once you catch on then it seems really good. The graphics are better than one would expect for a free program, and it has quite a few features and seems to be customizable.
