XStreamRipper (formerly StreamRipperX) is an open source (GPL) GUI for streamripper for the Mac. Allows you to select a radio station (from iTunes or the like) and rip songs from it to your hard drive.
TNH Loopback works fine from webpages for the same stations you find in itunes. It may actually be double-streaming, but all you do is go to shoutcast, choose what you want, drag the listen link into streamripper on the web page folder and click the start button. Once that's on you can click the relay button, which may or may not be double-streaming, but yes you can listen and rip. In Panther with iTunes 4.7.1 (Version 1.0.5)
ADAM Uhm, I just happened to check the reviews for this - It doesn't work for you guys with Panther? No.... I've run it without any problem from Jaguar 10.2 to Panther 10.3.2. Just fine, no problems whatsoever.
Anyway, I love this program. I only wish there was a START RIPPING RIGHT NOW!!! Keystroke that I could execute within iTunes or something. I have entire radio stations. On my computer. Like, what's better than that? All organized by information conveniently located within the stream itself. It would also be nice if the songs could be auto-imported (and deleted elsewhere) into iTunes, much like acquisition does with its mp3s.
But for now, the program does exactly what it's supposed to do; in Panther. Yes, I'll say it again, in Panther. It works fine, and it always has. (Version 1.0.5)
NIX NIX StreamRipperX doesn't have a scheduler - so I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about! Everything is cool for me!!! (Version 1.0.5)
