ROB06AU  Apple have screwed up bigtime as the DNS flaw is still unpatched on the client side and the server side is possibly still the same.

Apple seems to be getting more money focused and less focued on fixing the issues and also less on the end user as me I feel screwed over by not getting a proper or a fix at all.  (Version 2008-005)

DANA SUTTON  This showed up on MacUpdate about an hour after OSX.5.4, and I wish either Apple or the good people at MU could clarify the relation of the two releases. Is this a security update in addition to the security improvements in X.5.4 (that should be used by everybody) or only to be used by people who, for whatever reason, do not care to make the upgrade? Or is this for Tiger? The fact that Software Upgrade ignores this suggests the latter, but it would be nice to be told.  (Version )

LEFTUNKNOWN  This update came up on my wives ibook G4 Software Updates and she downloaded as we all do whatever SU says. The download hung up or quit during "optimizing system performance" and she restarted the computer and tried again with "success." Now, the ibook is junked up. itunes & safari won't open (who knows what else). The menu bar is missing airport and time/date. I try to verify the HD from the install disc and all I get are errors. Currently trying to run disk warrior but its hanging up and says "speed inhibited by disk malfunction." I've read that even if i reformat the HD, the issue might just return (i.e. never go away). If anyone can help, please do.  (Version )

    MUDGUTS  Hi

Installed 2008-003 update along with 4 other items via software update, after install had white screen for 5 mins after restart, did another restart a bit quicker,

verify and repair permissions all seems ok now, mail and hp printer and scanner all ok.

I did not bother with the 2008-002 update due to

    reports of HP printer problems.
