AROBULACK What a breath of fresh air, as far as niche printers go on the Mac platform. The drivers are top-notch, the interface is easy to use, and it links into Mac environments like Address Book like a breeze. I'm testing the unit for a client, using a LabelWriter 400 and am thoroughly impressed with how well the app works. Plus, you can save labels you make so that you're not starting from scratch every time you want to output one label for a specific purpose that you may engage in only infrequently. One major upside: my client couldn't find replacement labels locally for his printer. This app made it a snap to identify and order replacement labels. Really nice tool. I only docked it a point under features because it's not a 64-bit Snow Leopard app. (Version 8.2)

AROBULACK BTW, it does run fine for me under Snow Leopard, I was just commenting on the fact that it's a 32-bit app, which is probably of no consequence to most people. :-) (Version 8.2)

22DUKE also like the new software and have not had problems with it for years. Only complaint so far does not seem to import my old labels but still worth the free update (Version 8.1)

STEVEN GOODHEART This is a great update. Love the new look of the interface and the new features. I've never had problems with this software and I've been using LabelWriters for many years now. Some of the early drivers and software were problematical, but I can say that at least for the last 4 years, this software has been rock solid for me, and happily, the updates have been much more regular for the Mac than they were in the early days of this equipment. Highly recommend this update. (Version 8.1)

DENNISG Not sure what all the complaining is about. The label software has always worked perfectly for me from Day 1, starting two years ago, and it continues to be flawless. This latest software update makes creating and saving labels easier than it's ever been -- good thing, because it doesn't seem to find the labels I created with the previous version. That's the only knock against this software I can think of. Otherwise, it takes mere seconds to create new labels. And with the new driver, printing is instantaneous. 4 stars -- instead of 5 -- because I had to spend 45 seconds making a new shipping label. (Version 8.1)

TVALLEAU I don't have, and have never had, any of the problems listed below. My Dymo Twin Turbo just simply works. Never failed. Now... a word of caution on the 8.1 update: the automatic address import from their own previous file, just plain does not work. Solution is to export from the previous version, which will yield a .csv file, and that will import correctly. Unfortunately, if you have custom-designed labels... forget it. They don't even offer (or at least I could not find) an "import labels" so I had to redo all my custom labels by hand. Very tedious work, guaranteed to leave a sour taste in the customer's (mine) mouth. While 8.1 is prettier, it isn't any better engineered than any of their previous software. Too bad hardware folks have such a tough time designing decent software. Great and totally useful product hampered by software that looks like it was designed in Java. Yuck! (Version 8.1)

F451 No issues for me. Just thankful that I can use this great label maker and have been using one since they appeared in the PC market. My current model is a Labelmaker Duo. Yes, the DYMO software is not Apple GUI level, but it's pretty good and is has all the features I need. Plus, they keep refining it so I'm happy. No crashes; no issues; no lockups; DYMO customer service is excellent. Model Identifier: MacPro3,1 System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.1 (10B504) (Version 8.2)

LACTOSO Purchased the LabelWriter 400 Turbo a little over a year ago and it has worked flawlessly on my G5 running the latest OS X versions and the 7.0.0.17 version of the Dymo software. Well, the interface leaves much to be desired and the data management plain sucks, but it does what it's supposed to do. Got a notice to update to 7.6 today. When I went to install it, it prompted me for my admin password. Why does a label printer require admin privileges?!! (Version 7.6)

PLAID COW SOLUTIONS The label printer requires a system level printer driver to function properly. The application could be drag and drop, but the driver would still need to be system installed. (Version 7.7)
