MCOYLE  Let me start by stating that I'm not a musician, I'm an audio post production engineer mixing TV and radio commercials. I use Polyphontics to create instruments of related sound effects, for example: car pass-bys, dog barks, whooshes.

Polyphontics allows me to create banks containing dozens of samples, quickly and easily. In fact, most banks are created by interns with only a little instruction.

Another engineer at my company built an amazing acoustic guitar instrument using several samples with varying attacks for each note.

I've been using Polyphontics since its creation and the Soundfont 2 format has survived through several sampler upgrades. My work never goes to waste.
