DESCRIPTION
Dragon Burn enables Mac desktop and PowerBook notebook computer users to quickly and easily begin producing audio, data and mixed-mode CDs and DVDs without poring over the software's user's guide. The new Dragon Burn multi-burning engine allows users to simultaneously write multiple CDs or DVDs. It also fully supports new 4x DVD-R internal and external drives as well as advanced CD writes including recently released 52x CD-R and 24x CD-RW drives.
Using Dragon Burn, Mac and PowerBook users can easily produce their own audio and data CD and DVD discs as well as mixed-mode and CD extra discs. Users can mix and match AIFF, CDDA, MP3 or wave files to produce custom audio CDs. For CD and DVD data mastering applications, Dragon Burn fully supports ISO 9660 MS-DOS and Joliet, HFS (Mac OS) and HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) file systems. For Hybrid CDs and DVDs, users can select Mac OS and ISO 9660 file system combinations including data from previous ISO 9660 sessions.
For complete data protection and recovery, users can burn layouts to a disc or save them as complete disc image files. Using similar creation techniques, users can quickly and easily produce a backup copy of any CD or non-copy protected DVD. To ensure that users always produce quality discs, Dragon Burn supports BurnProof and other buffer-underrun protection technologies. For maximum throughput performance, the mastering software also supports USB 2.0 and FireWire CD and DVD burners.

S_ENGEL I'm glad to see DragonBurn has been updated. I use it since v3 and for me its a good and stable alternative to TOAST. Can't see any difficulties in downloading, expanding and using it. So give it a try. (Version 4.5.0.5)

CONNYMAN If you have a serial number for version 4, download it from "Free updates" , not from "Free Trial" :-) (Version 4.5.0.5)

BACKPACKER DB 4.1.20 was silently updated, in July 2007, to BDBv526. From what I can see, the component change was a Unix resource named Cdrw32.bdb created 3/July/2007. (Version 4.1.20)

EARTHLYTENT I have an external Kanguru dual-layerd burner that came with Dragon Burn, but I'm having trouble burning a DATA disc. Burning a VIDEO disc works fine, but I have one .MP4 file that is 6.6 GB and I want to archive it as the original, but it won't even start to burn as DATA. I just spits out the blank disc and says that it's done, even though it didn't even start. Is that a software or hardware issue? Can one file that size span the "dual-layer" process? thanks. kevin (Version 4.5.0.11)

MINER Was not obvious for me from the information on the site, but once the Demo is installed, it does accept my valid v4 serial number. Good to have an update. Pity it is so late in the game, as I has switched to another app already when I went Intel. (Version 4.5.0.5)

KCCHIEFSFAN I've purchased DragonBurn v3 and DragonBurn v4. Version 4 of DragonBurn will NOT burn higher than 4x on some CD burners. DragonBurn v3 works fine. This is a known issue per the company. I've contacted the company numerous times and when I ask them when this issue might be resolved. All they ever say is "I don't know". Also, head of tech suppport will not return my calls. Neither will pre-sales department. Ask if THEY could check with the developer and check for e.t.a for a fix. Was told no. Ask if they had a manager I could speak to in customer service and was told there was no such thing! :( This company has some issues when it comes to customer service and fixing bugs. Be careful. STEPHEN I'm a Mac user and I have no problem burning out a DVD using Dragon Burn. However, I cannot re-copy the disc I burnt out as the disc size is 31 gig! (The data on the DVD is only 3 gig. Can anyone suggest how I can bring the size down or rectify this problem?

ANONYMOUS Some guy at the user group I belong to swears by it... so I tried the demo. So awful I thought it was a joke. I decided to drop the extra $ on Toast but have been really happy. (Version 4.1.20)
