MaxMenus adds customizable menus to the corners of any display. The menus simplify the locating and launching of applications, documents, volumes, preferences, recent items, photos, music playlists and much, much more.
fixed the ability to trigger a menu by clicking on the empty area of the menubar
fixed the ability to grab items from menus (press ⌘-G with the mouse held over a menu item)
fixed arrow key and page up/down navigation in menus
restored ability of menus on the bottom of the screen to cover the Dock
fixed a crash on launch affecting some users
Can now start multiple copies before preceding ones have finished. (To use MaxMenus to copy files, drag and drop something onto a screen corner and then select a folder from the menu popup.) Copies also now prefer Cocoatech's Path Finder, if running.
JIMOHIO628 You can download a free copy of MaxMenus from: www.darwinports.com/download. The web site requires for you to download DarwinPorts, after providing your email address. After you supply this info, a download link for the free copy of MaxMenus appears, click on it, and enjoy the free software. You do not have to install the copy of DarwinPorts that you downloaded. Enjoy! (Version 1.5.1)
WILE E. It would seem that the few folks at Proteron have disappeared. I had an issue from August 2007 that was never really addressed. Had two replies at the time promising I would hear from the main developer - never did.
Lately a new issue has cropped up and seems to be a bug with how Proteron utilizes the upper right corner. Repeated attempts to contact support have been left unanswered.
I have always loved this little program but it has become unusable for me and without any support backing it up any longer I am disappointed to have to let it go.
Even more disappointing is that is still listed as a MUPromo item which suggests they are still around somewhere where they can collect money even if they ignore support requests or deal with problems. (Version 1.5.1)
TOMRAKEWELL Can anyone confirm that the spring loaded menu/folder corners work in Leopard? This does not work at all for me. I have repeatedly contacted Proteon about this but have not received any reply :-( (Version 1.5.1)
RHYWUN Drop works, but it's not apparent until you click a menu and the item moves there. Drag with Command-G does not work as described in the documentation.
I just bought this thru the MU discount, but the product's web site has been down for several days now. Emails returned, too. Not sure what is going on. (Version 1.5.1)

TOPEAU Wouldn't be without MaxMenus. When I use my wife's Mac that doesn't have it, I'm almost lost. (Version 1.5.1)
JGALANTER This is one of those must have applications, It is easy to get used to having this parked in the corners of my screen. I realize there are many launcher type applications, however this one stays unobtrusively in the corners of your display and is easily customizable. I can not imagine my OSX experience without it.
