DESCRIPTION
Duke Nukem 3D includes an installer that will install the game from either the PC "Atomic Edition" disc, or the MacSoft disc from the Mac Classic version of the game. If you don't have a retail disc, the installer can give you the free shareware episode.

3DRealms still sells the game off their website at 3drealms.com (in fact, they recently did an updated print run, believe it or not). If you don't have it, this is the path of least resistance to a legitimate copy of the game. eBay is another option. Make sure you get the "Atomic Edition" if you buy a PC disc.

TCP/IP networking and an OSX version of the level editor are included, but are intentionally hidden. Use at your own risk. :)

Do not contact 3DRealms or MacSoft for tech support; they will not help you with this version of the game...but https://bugzilla.icculus.org/ might.

    CLERM  Great Game, at last available for Mac with this installer. The "pig cops" are maybe the best opponents ever to appear in a first person shooter.

    ANONYMOUS  I installed Duke from a PC retail disk and it runs flawlessly on my mac. Except when I try to run build from my mac os x terminal (Iam using mac os x 10.2.8) . it just doesn't seem to recognize the command line from the Read Me file. can anybody give me a hint?

    GRYZOR  This software does not recognize my fresh Atomic Edition disc, and ejects it every time I attempt to install.

    Any help would be most appreciated.

    GRYZOR  Nevermind, I downloaded the newer version (12/16) and it fixed the problem. I can finally play the mighty Duke3D again after all these years!

    JPM1920  OSX works great, but I can not get the SAVE, QUICK SAVE, or RELoad features to work correctly. Can anyone help me out on this?

    GREENIE  Does anyone know how to make mouse look toggle so that you dont have to hold a button down to look around?

    For me the game runs smooth and no problems with it at all :) (apart from above) Also has anyone tried Duke it out In DC? The Expansion pack?

    REALLYNOTNICK  To make it so you don't have to hold down the look button make the mouse aim button caps lock!
