DESCRIPTION
iNet Stream Archiver allows you to record Shoutcast and Icecast internet radio. While recording, it will check the track name being played and make a new mp3 file when a new song starts - each mp3 file will have the right song name. You can also record multiple radio stations, depending on how much bandwith you have. You can also listen to recording stations from the same computer or multiple computers on your LAN (save on bandwith). Schedule your records for further use with your mp3 player.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.7.2:
  • Fixed a compatibility issue with Mac OS X 10.5 when using the buy online wizard
  • Fixed a bug where the toolbars would be initialized with no buttons instead of the default set
  • Fixed a bug when switching from relay only to record mode would start to record again only after a new track has began
  • New registration code format (old code format still supported and working), the code are generated online and are part of the confirmation email.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.3 or later.

ROBERT COOGAN  I very much agree - this is a steal at this price. As I live in Japan, I use it to record NPR news and Grove Salad on SomaFM. Buy this, it is (as I have said said) a steal. An awesome app with a very very minor learning curve.  (Version 1.7.2)

DIGITAL DALE  I've been using iNSA for a couple years now. Its still a little cumbersome to learn and understand, but it rocks, especially at this price. I especially appreciate the auto naming of songs and they are archived, so then I later know who, what, where, when, why but rarely HOW. I've also found it to be a better internet radio station search and listing, though often station broadcasts are not live at the moment. If I need to, I copy and paste the URL into iTunes (its rare that I need to go this workaround, however).

I also love that it records MP3 files at the same bitrate as the broadcast, so no loss of quality if tuning into a high bitrate station.

Once set and recording, I have been known to walk away and forget its recording, so I return to some pretty major volumes of stuff! That can be good or not so good. Trash what I don't like and keep what I do.

One other important comment in comparison to another similar product (not to be named here)... iNSA tends to prevent gap dropouts, though very short, sound like static. To edit these is a pain, but I rarely find them here. The only gap I have is just as it switches song titles, but its fairly short, and generally in a good spot to recover by editing.  (Version 1.7rc2)

LUXURYLUKE  I feel like this program doesn't get enough credit.

I paid for this program around 3 years ago and it still chugs along!
