MLBKXBX  For what it's worth, i actually think it's a very good app. It's easy on the eyes, and downloads stuff without any particular fuzz. If acqlite would be properly updated, that could possibly be an alternative, but it isn't as of now (for me anyway). So, i'll stick with Acquisition for now.

Now, i haven't had the privilege of communicating with the developer yet, and judging by previous comments, lets hope i never have to ;)

DANNII  I bought this application about 2 years ago and immediately I had regrets I did.

Essentially all the 'under-the-hood protocols, etc are the same as LimeWire and FrostWire, only with a prettier UI.

This application had a 'search as you type' feature, which Snow Leopard broke. I immediately notified the developer about this issue and asked when i could expect an update.

He told me that he didn't want to comment on this, he doesn't give timelines on updates.

Now (5 months after SL has been released) there's still no update.

I'm having real issues here with this developer.

1. Acquisition isn't even mentioned on this blog, does he even plan on supporting this?

2. He's literly copying code from opensource applications. He the opensource community doesn't update the code that he steals, then don't hold your breath for an update (xTorrent).

3. The excuse of not having time, is not true since he has plenty of time for his other projects.

It's really pathetic.

CHAINKING  OK, there may be a problem with some serials not working (mine does and I don't lose it) and the developer not answering emails (for an app this widely used, he probably gets too many). But this is a great app. It works and does so with a sensible and easy to use GUI. When I need something that I can't or won't buy, I go to Acquisition and it hardly ever fails.

FUZZYJON79  I also have had no luck in getting this guy to respond to several emails. I bought the app using an email address that I no longer use (and can no longer access under any circumstances). I've asked him to re-send the code to my new email address and I've even given him the PayPal transaction ID showing I made the purchase. (I even bought the lifetime upgrades option). No luck. Anybody experience similar problems?

ICONZ113  the fact of the matter is its a good app. I prefer it over the competitors and Ill continue to use it but if you ever want to contact the developer don't count on it. I myself never contact the developers of the applications I buy anyway so it doesn't matter to me but I guess a lot of people do. If your really looking for an alternative to what ever your using now Id say get acquisition. I like it , never had a problem and the interface is a lot better then the other guys. But some feel strongly about not buying this guys software for other reasons, but dont let it stop you from using this, most likely you wont have a problem.

RIKOS  I have to agree with all the previous posts. Don't waste your money supporting this guy.I made the mistake of paying for this software. If you have a problem or a question you'll get zero response from him!.

OZZKAR65  Ok, I have 2 add my 2 cents here and in a bunch of other sites :-) I paid for this program about one year ago. .. and my serial just stopped working. I paid using paypal. I have emailed the seller and no reply.. and that is ok.. because I can be a pain in the a#& and if I don't get this fix within the next 10 days.. I'll be getting my money back.. I already emailed paypal and next is my bank... and to those that have the same problem.. you should do the same. ..

RPOC33  I just bought Acquisition Pro, but I can't get the application to connect. Hence, I can't get any search results. I am only able to use the program to download torrents, which is fine, but I want to download individual songs. I have emailed the creator of the software, but I haven't received a reply (which seems to be commonplace having read the previous reviews about the guy). Does anyone know what my problem might be. I am connected to a wireless connection... My firewall is disabled for Acquisition and I know my port numbers for torrents and gnutella... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

JJS03C  The imovie HD application does not have sufficient themes to make even a decent movie. More choices need to be added for the user

D9  @ JJS03C:

I think you posted this to the wrong application. This is not the iMovie HD page.
