CASTLE ROSE  This is a great little program to create professional barcodes. The reason it does not get five stars is because it's so very expensive for a one trick pony. I was able to get my client to pay for it but I personally wouldn't have. There are other limited free barcode programs and you can make them yourself for free with the correct font. However these alternatives are not as fast, flexible and easy as BP.

I would value this at about $75. I would also be willing to bet 2 to 3 times as many people would pay for it at that price as well.

RADDLE  Yes, agree. I stumped up for it - because it's without question the best in class, and I really needed the convenience and quality - but it's kind of pricey nonetheless. It's a great piece of software, without question, but you do end up feeling you've been gouged for it: whereas if it was in the $50-70 bracket...

KOBALT  And I would like to see an option to outline the fonts in the final barcodes. Then again, perhaps that is a well hidden feature, or maybe I'm just getting too old to be able to find such things.
