LUCLUV  I've been using Phoenix 1.9.6 since I got my Intel iMac over a year and a half ago. But this "new" release says it's version 1.9.6 and the "What's New" lists the version as being 1.9.5.

What's up with all this? What version is this new release and IS it actually a new release? And while we're at it, is this really a PPC only release? Is there different one for Intel Macs?

DREMWKR  This app is OK, but not a good as Xjournal in the following ways: Xjournal has a better interface, gives you more options in posting, and is just more intutitive and easyer to use. Phoenix is stable (at least I have not any problems) and free: Free is always an excellent value.

SEAN  if you're looking for the best livejournal client for mac, stop here. best.

    tips for the developer:

-include active spellcheck into message body like other clients

    -better friends management

otherwise, keep up the great work. best integrated for mac, i barely miss semagic and windows.

ZU  Download came in clean, with good instant mount and immediate serviceability.. that is I got after it straightaway. No probs..

No hang like ijournal - the password you reckon.? I mean if it is then it would be every time wouldn't it..

tried for help but timed out; could use advice on how to blog to sites of ij type such as weedweb.net - from where I am you loggin to lj and that limits me to lj.. any ideas?

Tks and keep up the good work.!

CHRIS  To ge the client to login to lj-based services other than www.livejournal.com, click on the more options button on the login screen.

ANONYMOUS  Works very well. Out of the clients I have used on OS X, this is the best one. I was used to using the Semagic client for Windows, and I've tried iJournal and xJournal for OS X.

Two are a few things in Semagic and xJournal I would like to see added in this client.

    1. In the Edit History mode. I would like to see an icon beside the entry lists that shows what "security" setting the entry is set to... public, friends-only, or private.

    2. An Edit History interface more like xJournal and the ability to edit more than one entry at once.

    3. Changes in friends.

DAMNDJ  Pretty nice, full features LiveJournal client. Very nice interface and it has a lot of nice options to play with.

The spellcheck for me does not work, however. I just typed up a rather long post and when I went to spellcheck it, the program crashed. This happens every time I try to run the spellchecker. *sigh*

ELIS (LJ USER THINGWRAITH)  Phoenix is great.

I've tried a couple of the other clients for Mac OS X and found that Phoenix is better in every way.

If you're a frequent LJ user I highly recommend it.
