MARK_CAIRNS With this version 7.03, the Inspector palette no longer works / shows up in Tiger 10.4.11, so very hard to edit anything compared to the previous version. Poor Apple! (Version 7.0.3)

JNOEDING I had read that Apple had fixed the problem with fuzzy/poor quality images in iDVD V6 with improved encoding. So I shelled out the $$ for ilife '08, and guess what? IDVD V7 isn't any better. The image quality is absolutely terrible. I am a photographer, and had wanted to produce some DVDs of my work that I could give to potential clients. As with iDVD V6, I cannot show this DVD to anyone. In my opinion, the quality is not even nice enough for someone just wanting to make a DVD of their family pics for them self. I cannot remember the last time I was so disapppointed in a product. It may be easy to use, but when the end product is this bad, who cares ifit is easy. I wish I could get my moneyback, as this is totally unusable to me. (Version 7.0.1)

KITTENQ iv been having the same issue ... it was suggested i skip put the images into imovie first before sharing them with idvd and to go to the create slideshow in the project menue in idvd. This worked like a charm. The images were nice and crisp. Maybe this will work for you.

LPFDC 1. I have iDVD 6.0.3 which came with my mbp. Tried to download 7.0.1. Could not open it because it could not find qualifying app. Why not? Do I have to pay $100> 2.I also tried to import jpegs from my western digital external hard drive to iDVD 6.0.3. Mbp saw the wd, but would not import. 2. that the jpgs went from my camera to a mini-PC to WD or 3. my incompetence and unfamiliarity with iDVD? (Version 7.0.1)

Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later, Apple iDVD 7.0. It clearly states this on the MacUpdate page for iDVD. (Version 7.0.1)

JNOEDING DO NOT BUY iDVD V7. I got it and put togeter a slide show of images. It does work, but the images are as horrible as when using verson 6. I was told they ahd fixed the fuzziness problem with "new professional quality encoding", but the images look exactly the same in V7 as V6, and are completely unusable to me. If I could, i would get a refund for this product. (Version 7.0.1)

FOTOGEEK I have been trying to create a slideshow in iDVD. Unfortunately this is not easy and I have a couple of pretty annoying problems: 1) Unable to import a slideshow from 2) Once I try burning and iDVD ( a process that takes two hours), the photos dont have a good resolution during playback on DVD players, they take time to flicker before becoming optimum I would really appreciate any suggestions anyone has.

JNOEDING I experience the same thing with not only the images, but with the graphics and text as well. I was using it to try to make a portfolio DVD of my work to leave with potential clients. I just recently bought the idvd v&, which apple claimed would fix the problem. To my eye, ( I am a photographer) there was a no improvement. The overall quality is still absolutely terrible. If you have other reasons for buying ilife, great, but DO NOT buy it for for the so-called improvements in iDVD or you will regret that you did. (Version 7.0.1)

I have iDVD6 (i think it's 6 anyway)on my new MacBook. I created a movie (from photographs) in iMovie and then burned it to Disc (DVD-R x 8) using iDVD. The Audio files (songs) I added so that specific beat patterns would coincide with image transition have gone out of synch. It plays ok in iMovie and also in iDVD but the hard copy (the disc)when played in different DVD players has visual and audio out of synch. Incredibly frustrating since I spent ages making the present (it also took forever to burn). Does anyone have a solution for this... I'm in a hurry: it's a birthday present. Thanks G. FOTOGEEK If you are creating a slideshow with a "playback" setting of syncing rate of photo transition with the beat of music, try to set a fixed time to transition. If this fixes the problem, then you just need to look at your encoding settings. If it does not then try to update the software (Version 6.0.3)

MAGOSILVAN Are you sure your iMovie project is a PAL, for Europe, and not an NTSC project? (Version 7.0.1)

MISCHIVO This program is a piece of crap: after rendering a film for 6 hours on my 1.25ghz powerbook, the program crashes on me JUST BEFORE IT HAS FINISHED--obviously none of the rendered files were saved (why not?) and I had to start the process all over again--far too late to give it to my aunt who was departing to Europe. What a unreliable piece of work. (Version 5.0.1)

CRAZY APE I don't know why everyone is always having problems with the iLife Apps, and everyone is always complaining about how thay can't do this, it won't do that. I have been using iLife since 1.0 and I have never had any problems with it, it has worked flawlessly since day one. I have made 2 feature films with iLife and never had a single problem. I'm running a 800mhz iMac G4, and I couln't be happyer with iLife! (Version 5.0.1)

ANONYMOUS They complain because they have problems with the app. A very narrow viewpoint to imagine complaining is only negative. How do you think the makers of any product "improve" it? That is, to make it better as far as the users are concerned? User feedback: it's a beneficial diagnostic tool, even for Apple. PS -- "Feature" means more than just "a couple hours long." ANONYMOUS Agreed this is one fantastic suite of programs, if you have a problem stick it in your pipe and smoke it. Apple have done a fantastic job it's the pinnicle of digital life. With the 5 programs in this suite you can do just about anything you want! (Version 5.0.1)

ANONYMOUS idvd is great!?! drag and drop is wonderful. but it´s a consumerapp. 2.don´t try something else than 4:3 format. idvd will scale it anyway to 4:3. after rendering a 90 minute film there is this anoying rainbowball.

IB KORNUM Ofcource I dont know if there is something wrong with my Idvd, but I tried a couple of times to burn. The first time I burned a 10 minutes film, and apart from it took me more than 4 hours-the film was Ok. Then I tried to make a slideshow.Time around 1hour and 15 minutes.I started up the burning at 8 o clock in the morning, and the next morning it was still burning. So it kept on doing that untill I stopped the computer.Ofcorce the DVD was not ready-Very strange.Tried again and the same thing happened. I really miss some kind of of bar where you can se how long the burning has come.a bar is used on most other mac things-why not on Idvd. I wanted to say a few words about Imovie-really shitty program-with so many anoying mistakes that one would think it was made for windows (Version 5.0.1)

ANONYMOUS It would still be a SUPER GREAT benifit to have iDVD save the encoded and rendered files so it doesnot have to re-encode and render them each time you go back to that project. (Version 5.0)
