Like most operating systems, MacOS X doesn't come out of the box to take full advantage of a high-speed, broadband internet connection. Luckily, because of its Unix base, there's an easy fix for that. By making certain tweaks to your network settings, you may be able to almost double your download speeds.
I installed and not only did it lower my connection speed, but even after uninstalling and repair disk permission my Finder is slow to load a new window. It won't always find my external drive. It's slow to load any other windows.
It repositioned itself in the bottom left of the screen and takes up to 2 minutes for it to recognize my mouse dragging it to the centre.
My machine is slower now due to this programme and I am considering reinstalling the whole of Mac.
WISSI However - made some speedtests before and after installing BroadbandOptimizer. It simply works on Mac OS 10.4 ! Well done - Thx :-) (Version 1.5)
