***½.

FRATTIMONDE  Urg, this version of BG is disappointing. The were some bugs that you could live with in the PC version, but this really sad. The charaters freezes and refuses to attack, TOB crashes for no reason and spell pages are slow. Very slow. Even when using the so called patches that would removes problems, it still remains. Shame it is, for this a great RPG but this conversion is just heartbreaking.

SHEEPTUF  This is the best RPG I have ever seen. The only thing that upsets me is why on earth haven't they made 10 more just like it.

ANONYMOUS  I have also had stability issues (iBook G3 700Mhz).

Sometimes when attempting to travel between different districts, the game freezes while loading.

I've also experienced intermittent crashing, most notably after the main character dies.

This is a great game, though - very involving, challenging, and *long*. Seems like it would have a lot of replay value. The gameplay is clunky, though, and of course graphically underwhelming next to its successors.

ANONYMOUS  Great game... on a PC. This game cost more bucks on a Mac, it is not stable in OS X and WHERE IS THRONE OF BHAAL, lazy boys? And we are still waiting for Icewind Dale 2.

ANONYMOUS  If you liked BG I, you'll love the sequel. It is a truly breathtaking game. However, you should download and install the unofficial patches.
