DESCRIPTION
Big Brother is alive and well. The World Coalition Government has annexed 80% of all nations and tracks your every move. While those in the cities maintain an acceptable level of comfort at the expense of freedom, the poorest masses exist at the fringes of a toxic wasteland and at the mercy of the Syndicate - a nefarious web of criminals run by Boss Muro.

You are Konoko - a young girl unaware of your past and your destiny. In the midst of the corruption that surrounds you on all sides you must unravel the mystery of your own identity while fighting to save humanity from extinction.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.3.6 fixes the following:
  • Fixed bug #6131: Oni hangs or "freezes" (due to audio threads).
  • You can now configure the SoundChannelProcessorTimeoutInterval setting in defaults, which should let people tune that interval to eliminate skips. For now, changed the default value of that setting to 1/100th of a second rather than 1/20th, since bug #6980 says that sound stutters with the 1/20th second timeout.
  • Fixed bug #3080: Mouse speed not reset to original value after playing game. (This also affected the user's keyboard repeat settings.)

    CUBEMAN83  Nope, it doesn't work with Panther. All you get is a white screen. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, I don't really want to have to boot into OS 9 everytime I want to play this game. Oh well, at least I HAVE OS 9.

    ANONYMOUS  Has anyone tested this on Panther? I see on their website Omni says it won't work. I'll be really sad if I can't play this game on my new iBook (which of course won't work with anything earlier than 10.3.3). Guess I can run it in classic, but it's gonna drag. 8^(

    ANONYMOUS  Someone needs to change this to show up as an Updater instead of a free game.

    JMEN  I also get a message that informs me to select the retail installation....I have Mac OS 10.2.4.....how do I get pass this problem,or CAN I get past this problem?? thanx

    MACFREAK  Put the Oni patch in your Oni f folder. Click on it and when it asks for retail installation, go to Oni f folder and press Open - this will launch the game

    RADHAZ  I didn't have many problems with Oni originally, it never behaved badly in OS X for me. Still, this patch is welcome, if only because it made me playe six levels of Oni tonight after a long time not playing it. I kicked Barabaras's butt! This is a really fun game, one of the few I have played more than a couple of times.

    UNIMATRIXZXERO  I can't play Oni with this patch as it trys to allways start the game in a resolution of 1600x1280 at 120 Hz. I mean which monitor can give you that. Mine can't. The OS 9 verstion works fine and starts a lowest resolution so I can setup it up as desired.
