NICKSAY I'm not sure what the previous posts are about... I just used the program successfully. Admittedly, the interface isn't the most intuitive, but it's not exactly "bad" either. Perhaps the previous users need a pointer or two. 1) The app doesn't use a traditional "save" mechanism, where you edit a document in memory and then write it out to disk, usually without affecting the original. Instead, make sure the arrow at the bottom is expanded, and select the "Allow Editing" check box. Now, if you select some part of the file above, the "View/Edit as..." fields will IMMEDIATELY OVERWRITE the contents of the file upon hitting return. MAKE A BACKUP FIRST! Otherwise, you can't get the original version back. 2) Despite previous comments, you CAN move to an offset in the file. Using the "Selection" fields, set "First" to the offset you wish to start at, and "Size" to the amount of data you want selected, starting at the offset. You'll notice that selecting part of the file, or searching for a string (hex or ascii) will automatically set these fields. So, frankly, I have no problems with the app, and when I need it, it comes in handy.
