SHOCK J  Anyone having a problem with Adium suddenly not being able to connect to their Yahoo account? If I go to Yahoo's web site I can log onto chat no problem. I updated my credentials in Adium to use full Yahoo e-mail address (it seems to need that now) and it still just hangs on "Connecting." Restarted the computer just to make sure. Still won't connect to Yahoo. I can connect via Yahoo's Messenger app, so it' not my connection.

Anyone else seeing this?

SHOCK J  Just checked the Adium Beta page. Looks like they updated Libpurple (today 6/19) and this fixes the Yahoo connection problem. I presume they'll update the stable version ASAP.

These guys rock!

OLDBLUEDAY  I can't connect with Adium on either of my Macs and with Pidgin (which I use at my PC at work). I figured Yahoo must have changed something.

I'll try that beta.

LENON1122  I am having the same problems...quite frustrated indeed. I also started having problems with my ICQ, but I dont think they are related. At any rate, what exactly do you mean with the replies...does that mean that a fix is on the way, or is there something I can do about it now?

Thanks in advance!

H.A.L.  Allowed Adium to update itself to 1.3.5 when it requested, and now it will not/cannot connect to either my Yahoo or AIM accounts; status now stuck at "offline"!

OLDBLUEDAY  I downloaded the Adium 1.4 beta and it seems to work again. I think Yahoo changed something on their end which upset all these chat program.

TECHCHICK99  2 years ago, Adium was pretty buggy and did not work properly for me. But the latest update seems to be pretty stable.

I really enjoy chatting via Adium, because I have got all my buddies in one list.

S_KALB  Adium does not support webcam natively yet.

There *is* a workaround you could try out, but it only works through an internet browser. http://adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=xtras&xtra_id=4959

If it isn't what you're looking for, try iChat, Skype, aMSN, Yahoo Messenger, etc... there is a fair amount of programs which allow webcam, but unfortunately the Adium webcam isn't ready for now.

MISCHIVO  MSN errors galore.

I don't know about anyone else, but ever since version 1.3, MSN has been causing me miniature headaches every time I login/start up the program. It keeps telling me

Unable to add user

Unknown error (205)

I also receive "Buddy list synchronization" issues. I tried to add someone I deleted a few months back, and the contact exists on the local list but not on the MSN server list. Whether I click "no" or "yes" for the sync option, the program seems lack a reaction. Selecting yes doesn't actually synchronize the contact to the server.

Does the Adium team plan on addressing this at all, or is this an error with MSN's servers?
