DESCRIPTION

JOHN CLAY It's not like running a 32 bit version of Adium is going to create some sort of weird paradox or rift in the time/space continuum. It'll run the same as it did on 10.5.

JAZZJOHANNES Thank you guys so much for all the huge efforts that made this project possible. It is a huge success, and every Mac User I know uses it! It's just a shame, that they don't support Skype and also the dropping of IRC, it's real shame. However I believe it was dropped with the best intentions, I guess the IRC posed to many bugs... I have been using it since the early 0.5 stages and it has become unbelievably brilliant, five stars in every category!

ROBBY.IS.ON There is a Skype plugin at http://www.adiumxtras.com. IRC is coming in 1.4! It was never removed: you probably a beta of 1.4 with this 1.3.x release. :)

JAZZJOHANNES According to their website, they will never implement IRC, it was a made decision. And the Skype plugin is pretty pointless, since it needs the actual Skype application running...

ROBBY.IS.ON You can try the Beta yourself, it has IRC, believe me, I'm an Adium support guy. :) As for Skype, their API demands the app running, a different implementation would cause legal issues.

S_KALB Adium does not support webcam natively yet. There *is* a workaround you could try out, but it only works through an internet browser. http://adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=xtras&xtra_id=4959 If it isn't what you're looking for, try iChat, Skype, aMSN, Yahoo Messenger, etc... there is a fair amount of programs which allow webcam, but unfortunately the Adium webcam isn't ready for now.

STEPHAN213 Adium X should be the only IM client on any mac. It supports so many different networks, it just seems silly (to me) to use anything else. With their many customization features and super-stable app, I can't NOT give this app 5 stars. Good job devs.

RISEOFCHAOS Adium is such a great Mac app. It's the best IM client I've ever used! You can use almost any network with only one app. Hope for an early 64 Bit Release with AV Chat. Awesome Jobs devs. :)
