JON555 I went from version 9 to version 10 and have yet to see any real changes except that the dock icon is now blue, which makes me wonder why I spent so damn much money to "upgrade". Honestly, how is this worth a whole version number upgrade? And stop throwing more useless applications in the bundle that people rarely use, just so you can somehow justify charging such a ridiculous price. Toast itself is an awesome application, but the company behind it is not, and the price is just stupid. This, coupled with terrible customer support, makes me wonder how Roxio stays in business. ANONYMOUS In 10% of the cases Toasts refuses to burn VIDEO_TS folders, saying : "The folder cannot be managed". I surfed the web and found lots of people with the same problem (including those trying to burn iDVD films). This TOAT's message is undocumented and stays very cryptic. One thing is sure, the VIDEO_TS folders that Toast refuses to burn are perfectly and flawlessly burnt by lots of free softwares (eg QuickBurn). So why bother and pay a lot of money for TOAST's gas machine when the job can be done for free by less ambitious and more reliable applications ? The only advantage of Toast, to me, is that its VIDEO_TS burning is really faster then its competitors (when it works ...). (Version 10.0.2)

MONTY LEE Toast 10 Titanium Pro comes with a folder of Pro Applications on the DVD. Included in that folder is a dmg file called "Sonicfire Pro Bonus Audio Tracks.dmg" which works with SonicFire Pro 5. The dmg file fails during the initial verification due to "codec overrun." Nothing I have done is able to mount the dmg, including copying to the hard drive, using other computers (3), and trying Disk Utility and Stuffit 13. I submitted the question to Roxio but in a week have not gotten any resolution (their suggestions were to update Stuffit (I have the latest version) and try removing the codecs from Quicktime. Since I was getting no where, I called today (Monday) and was on hold for 38 minutes and finally talked to Tech Support (PC expert, not a Mac expert). He said the only Mac expert they had said to remove the Quicktime codecs as that was the problem. For the life of me, I cannot see how a Quicktime Codec can interfere with trying to verify and mount a dmg file, but I did what they said. I copied the folder to another drive, deleted all the codecs, rebooted, and emptied trash. Then I tried the process all over again trying to mount the dmg file. It fails for the same reason. I never received any update back from Roxio (turn-around is about 24-48 hours), but SmartSound (Sonicfire Pro) says they have received multiple complaints about this. So I suspect that the file is corrupt in some way, and Roxio seems very reluctant to update it or provide a download link for a valid version. Sonicfire gave me a valid link for the download. It took them less than 24 hours to solve the issue, and over 10 days for Roxio with NO SOLUTION. The program is very good (minus Divx support) but do NOT expect any support from Roxio. DigitalRiver won't help either, although they will admit they've had lots of problems from users with Roxio with respect tot he purchase side. (Version 10.0.2)

DLWHITE WARNING: THERE IS NO UPGRADE PATH from Toast 10 to Toast 10 Pro. If you purchase Toast 10, and after the fact, decide you want the features of Toast 10 Pro, you have to purchase the ENTIRE program again. There is NO discount, NO rebate, and NO sympathy from Roxio. Pretty poor customer service, I MUST say. I tell them I want to give them more money for the upgrade, they say there's no upgrade path. Whatever. (Version 10.0.2)

ANONYMOUS SIMPLY AWESOME! This is my first version of Toast I have bought. New to the Mac world. For those that are complaining, spend time in the Windows CD burning world for awhile. You'll hug toast when you come back. While Roxio makes tools for the PC, non are this easy. (Version 10.0.2)

ANONYMOUS Spamming another application in this area is kinda lame. If you want to suggest an application, put them where they belong.

VOLLARE2 Well Mr. five-star-rating-ANONYMOUS, If I put my suggestion in the "place where it belongs", I can't tell _WHY_ I use another solution: ...mainly for the price. So I put my comment in the comment section, - without a rating, - as you may have realized... And if you are really a newcomer in the Macworld, don't you think you also should leave your censorship behavior behind in your former windows world? This is Mac, it is NOT 1984. ...A free (dom of speech) world SINCE 1984 (sic) now, friend. (Version 10.0.2)

PXL Still a worthless app without DivX support. I'm happy to stick with v9.0.4 forever! (Version 10.0.2)

ANONYMOUS Great Application! One of the MUST HAVES. While there are other applications that do part of what Toast does, none of them do it all like it does. (Version 10.0.2)

DIDIMAC Iīm using Toast since many years, and I had to pay A LOT of money for its upgrades. Now itīs enough! Still using version 8, and actually donīt really need it, because burning CDs or DVDs becomes more an more outdated and useless. There are enough free and less expensive programs out there to convert movies or to use this oldfashioned burning. (Version 10.0.2)

CORPSECORPS Why does toast bother to include menu authoring features for DVD creation when they rarely turn out usable. I dropped 4 half-hour video clips into Toast, chose a menu theme and specified 4 buttons, picked button frames in the video, dropped in a custom background, chose 3 minute intervals for chapters, and burned the DVD. For a start, the way navigation comes out is pretty pathetic. Right and down buttons always move the highlight right, only going down when it hits the right-most button. Up and left always move left. Not even a wrap-around to make navigation quicker. The menu button text was so small it was unreadable. The menu button highlights didn't match the aspect ratios of the video clips. The button highlights weren't properly aligned with the button images and neither were the navigation button highlights. This is typical of my experiences. (Version 10.0.1)
