DOOBIEXX Mitch De is right. Toast is actually a very great program that constantly is on the cutting edge of compatibility. If there is a new OS update you can probably expect Toast to update it's products so they are completely compatible even if the OS update does nothing to really changed the way discs are burned. That does not matter, the real argument is that it's too expensive. Yes, it is, but it is priced right. No other app is as easy to handle as Toast. Yes, many apps can burn the same stuff, the same methods, but you have to have a decent idea of what your attempting to burn. If Toast "thinks" there may be a problem with the burn or "thinks" there is a better way to burn what you want it actually "thinks" and lets you know what to expect, what should be done and many other prompts guide you through the correct way to burn your content if you are unsure. If you know what your doing it is easy to just run it yourself w/ no guidance and those "beginner" features/prompts do not bother you. It's expensive but there is no better burn app imo. Disk Utility is great, don't get me wrong but for real easy drag and drop operation with lots of options Toast is the way to go. Give it a try, I think you will be impressed. Expensive, yes. Worth what they charge, yes. You all know: "you get what you paid for." Check many other apps though, they do allow a demo period for you to try the software risk free. Sorry for the rant, Toast is just simply the best for all things burn for those not wanting to explore the app and documents to get what they want. (Version 10.0.7)

MITCH_DE Beside the other here i think Toast can do things very well in case of Video DVD creation. Fast & very comaptible to most source codecs. If you have usage for that, TOAST isnt crap ! If you only want to burn for sure you can use some freeware. (Version 10.0.7)

DONMONTALVO Please don't spend money on this monstrosity. Try "Burn" (or another alternative). Titanium has been on a downward spiral for a few years now. The firm is milking it for what ever they can get. It's horrible software. Bloated, slow, unstable. Avoid it like the plague. Don Montalvo, TX (Version 10.0.7)

DONMONTALVO Hmm...I wonder if they're embedding Flash into Toast. ;) It's painfully slow. Don Montalvo, TX (Version 10.0.7)

JAMUS Nice! I just thought I should mention that for the first time in a long time I have not been forced to login to download this update (10.0.6a). Thank you Roxio? (Version 10.0.6a)

MISHA Thank you, MacUpdate. We're hosting it for our users because Roxio's site is (or was) having issues. (Version 10.0.6a)

CRAIGSEE Archive AVCHD results in discs that are not recognized by iMovie 09 or Final Cut Pro 7.0.1 if they are spanned. Sometimes when attempting to Archive AVCHD to spanned discs it throws a Mac OS error -18768. Their tech support doesn't even have the most elementary clue about how their program works. All the can do is send KB articles that have NOTHING to do with the issue you reported. While it does do basic disk burning, that the thing Apple's Burn can do. The key features I bought this for are broken and tech support is clueless about fixing and won't acknowledge a bug. BTW they don't see to read their own tech support forum so I doubt they are aware of any of the negative reviews here. (Version 10.0.6)

JAMUS Still. Forcing. A. Login. Arrrrrrgh. Roxio please cut it out and stop doing these silly data grabbing stunts for your paying customers just to get an update. Remember... Pirates don't login, so why antagonize those of us that actually BOUGHT your software? (Version 10.0.6)

DONMONTALVO We have some shops that won't let go of Toast. The last few releases are tossing up spurious errors, failing on simple burns, etc. The free Burn application hasn't hiccuped once, never a problem. Did I mention Burn is absolutely free? :) I'm hoping Roxio (or whoever owns the company now, since it's changed hands so many times) turns things around. Not counting on it.

FAIRMEADOW Interesting that they are owned by Sonic. When I couldn't install the Sonic software bundled with Toast, Roxio said they couldn't/wouldn't help me as it's a 3rd party product. And then, basically, if you ask them a question that they can't answer, they just don't bother replying. Never again. (Version 10.0.6a)

HOLYPOLY Those who have bought and installed the BD-plugin for Titanium 10 - if you update to 10.06, BD compatibility will be lost! To my knowledge, Roxio doesn't mention this fact anywhere. (correct me please if I got something wrong here). So, the plug-in has to be re-downloaded and re-installed if you choose to update (you'll need your order no. and p/w for your Roxio account OR the last 5 digits of your c/c no. for that).
