SJK  5.0.10 fails to launch on PPC-based Macs (G4, G5) I've tested. App briefly appears in Dock, then silently quits. Runs fine on Mac mini (Early 2009).

CRAZZYEDDIE  Mactracker does have an internal updater. It uses Sparkle just like most other Mac apps.

CHRISCHRAM  "Mactracker for iPod classic is no longer included."

I guess that makes sense, since the latest generations of iPods can't use this feature, but "Boo, Hiss!" anyway.

ILGAZ  Isn't there a free developer to give hand to this great freeware and its author? I feel bad when I download 22 MB of data each time when something gets added/updated.

Can't be anything like rsync or plain patching (e.g. xdelta) implemented so users actually download 22 mb of data when they really need to replace the executable? I bet the actually changed data is far more less, compare the firefox "check for updates" updating and the old fashion full version downloading if you want to see how big difference patching would make.

I mean, even Blizzard does patching and as far as I know, there is no risk patching the data files.

Thanks to MPAA/RIAA, P2P doesn't really seem to be an option anymore. I mean evil ISPs out there filtering everything and sending letters to GNU/Linux downloaders. So, if anyone say "or he can ship a torrent", it is not the case.

ps: I don't know the author or the company behind it, I just feel bad wasting bandwidth for no reason.

TESLANAUT  I'm with this guy. Why do we have to download the whole program entirely again? Why can't they just patch certain files or update the files within the App? Unless the bulk of it is actually the Binary itself.
