DESCRIPTION
Microsoft Expression Media (formerly known as iView Media Pro) allows you to import photos direct from a digital camera or create catalogs simply by dragging and dropping. Microsoft Expression Media creates media catalogs containing thumbnails and annotations that can be viewed even when the original files are no longer on a mounted drive.

It also allows you to burn media onto a CDROM or back up media to a removable volume. Organizing your media into catalogs allows you to search and retrieve media, based on annotations (IPTC) such as caption, keywords or digital camera (EXIF) information. You can use media in Microsoft Expression Media catalogs to create slide show presentations, print multi-image reports, export into one of several export options, as well as calibrate them in order to enhance their color, brightness, or other visual characteristic.

PATOCHE  Very disappointed !

I was a big fan of iView and later expression media in v. 1 xxx.

But this new beta is unusable...very very slow on my MacPro 8 cores with a lot of RAM.

Clicking on web galery make the progr. quits...

Not the good way to go...

Sad.  (Version 2.0.1331b)

****.

ESPIRIDION  Works great for my needs.

I have not used it that much. Mainly I created a 60 MB catalog of >12,000 icons.

I just tested it to create a 3MB catalog of 40MB of 309 pictures. It took about a minute or so.

Overall I'm very happy with it. I used it when it was a $25 program and loved it back then. When the price went up I decided not to upgrade. Thanks to Microsoft I got it as part of Office 2008 for Mac Special Media Edition, and the price was cheaper than buying the expensive versions of iView. I also have a free upgrade to version 2.

I will fondly remember the original iView. It was cheap and useful. I'm glad I got it again.  (Version 2.0.1331b)

JON T  Microsoft - the kiss of death to all good software makers.

I hope the developers enjoy their cash windfall while it lasts.  (Version 1.0.9038)
