DESCRIPTION
PlayerPRO is at once a complete music editing software and a SoundTracker player. You can use it with any Mac, without any specific hardware. PlayerPRO can load and play the following formats: MOD, S3M, MIDI, MTM, MADx, OKTA, System 7 sound, MINS, WAV, XI, AIFF, AIFC, MED, 669, and XM.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS 9 or later, CarbonLib 1.2 or later.

AZRAEL It is sad that such a great product has a lack of proper development. This product hasn't seen a good version since the original developer ceased on it. Maybe it would be wise for the current maintainer to pass on the project. To a group that would actively develop for it.

DRSPA44 When will we see an actual application release of playerpro 5.10? 5.9.8 although runs well on classic, is getting less and less stable on tiger and on leopard with intel. I can't stand to play mods without the pattern view or box editor! Will it still be free or will it become shareware again?

MPROUD OS X 10.4.4 seems to break compatibility with PlayerPro. I get an error regarding the sound driver when booting up the program. Does this happen for anyone else?

STEVE i was very excited to see people are still keeping playerpro alive, i spent 5 formative years producing music with that tracker. i found i can't edit note values or volume..? is that a known bug, or not, or have i simply completely forgotten how to use a tracker? | |

SANDRO BILBEISI what claims do you mean? -my maintainership is approved by Antoine Rossett (the original author of PlayerPRO) - I dedicating all my free time to tackle a huge backlog of reported and unreported bugfixes. -I expect to release 5.9.8.1 (which is actually a major revision over 5.9.8) -initial CVS import of refactored code - file release of first 'clean' CVS tarball

SANDRO BILBEISI I am Sandro Bilbeisi, the current maintaner of PlayerPRO. PlayerPRO has been resurrected on http://sourceforge.net/projects/playerpro versions of PlayerPRO up to 5.9.9.x are coming down the pipes and will principally adding bug fixes. Additionally a UMX import/export plugin is being debugged.
