DESCRIPTION
UnCoverIt is a shareware application that automatically generates labels for CD-Roms, Zip-Disk, Orb Disks, and SuperDisks.

Unlike other label printing applications you don't have to enter the name of the files on your disk manually. UnCoverIt places icons and file names automatically at the right place and the right size.

XENOPHILE  Seems pretty good, but all I can find on the developer's website is a beta version, which appears to have been in development since March 2007 and still costs $15. Why would I pay the developer to test his software for him? As other reviewers noted, there's little documentation and the app isn't entirely intuitive.

For payware, I'd recommend MyCoverCD or CD Labeler as inexpensive apps that get the job done; I've tried both and prefer MyCoverCD's GUI and feature set. For a bit more cash, my favorite is Disc Cover - I've been using it for years and it absolutely rocks. Its got a rich feature set, a wonderfully intuitive function, rock solid stability, and the developer updates it regularly to keep pace with OS X. Another benefit of Disc Cover when compared to the cheaper shareware labelers is that a lite version ships with Toast Titanium, so it has a broad user base as insurance against it becoming abandonware.

AFMAC  I used this years ago for making labels for backup cds in OS 9 it worked great then and it still works good today. It will list the contents of your disc on your label and place the text automatically.

ANONYMOUS  I've been using it under OS 9 and it was great, stable and reliable, now under OS X it lost the stable and reliable things . . . . . waiting for the next beta!

PFUSION  Used the version for 9.0. Great product! Worked flawlessly. Went to upgrade, tried to contact the developer for my old registration number......and.....nothing, nada. No return email. With product support like that one should be wary.

KODAC  Did you try contacting him again? :) I've been using this product for Years. Had to upgrade to a new serial twice. Both times I had no problem getting my new serial from him.

M2 ..  I wasn't too sure if I liked where UnCoverIt 2.0 was heading, when I used several of the early betas. But, since beta 6, I have seen major things coming into view. Since then, I have been in contact with Ilja a few times about some minor bugs or questions... and he's been on top of all of them. I think with this version, we can really see the potential cool new features really coming into their own, and it's a dope piece of shareware, performing many more types of 'cover printing' that UCI 1.4 did.

NEIL_M  This is developing nicely (Beta) - This is very intuitive - auto sizing text, etc. For mp3 and Music Cd - Great. I am using this regularly. With the ability to make your own custom Templates. Has the previous previous reviewer actually used this? Is this the review disease from Versiontracker?
