MACSOLU New information about issues resolved & still remaining: source: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b5ada4 --- --- --- Dov Isaacs (Adobe rep) - 2:54pm Jun 30, 08 PST (#7 of 16) PLEASE! Those of you running Leopard. We are most interested in whether this cat has changed its spots for the better with this update!! We don't believe that the "hiding" problem is fixed, but the navsrvs file open crash problem is supposed to be resolved now according to Apple and testing that our folks have done with this (we hope, we hope, we hope). So, some of you more adventuresome types, please try the 10.5.4 update and provide feedback as to whether life has become a bit better for you with InDesign (and hopefully nothing else was broken fixing this problem). --- --- --- Aled Brown - 7:18am Jul 1, 08 PST (#14 of 16) Installed it, seems to work. But the Apple-H hide bug is still there with 5.0.3 and OS X 10.5.4. And then if you mess with that enough you get the "completely" hidden InDesign that you have to hope u remembered to save your documents with and Right Click on the Dock to quit it. But the Navigation Services bugs are gone, and that's 95% of the crashes I was having gone. I'm not bothered about the hide issue. Unless this new version is worse, that hardly presented itself as a massive problem. Glad Apple and Adobe have worked so hard on this. I've definitely been submitting my fair share of crash reports! --- --- --- Ian Macdonald - 8:56am Jul 1, 08 PST (#15 of 16) Hi All seems well with the 5.0.3 and 10.5.4 updates. As I've mentioned in a previous post, to get around the hide problem, when you first open InDesign CS3, immediately close it down and then reopen. That clears the hide bug. It works 100% of the time for me. It isn't that great an inconvenience to close and then reopen the program just the once at the beginning of your working day. Obviously not an ideal situation either but it's something I can well live with until 10.5.8 and 5.0.4.....! (Version 5.0.3) |
