MACVET After I found TexFinder a few years ago, my Internet-production life has changed significantly. I use to create webpages with PageSpinner. My biggest site consits of roughly 900 single HTML/SHTML files at the moment. If I want to update text in a number of files, TeXFinder is a really big help. It finds and replaces text in text files fast, efficiently and secure (with backup if you want). You can even replace longer passages (other apps are often limited to 256 characters) or define tables of multi-replace tasks. You can list all files to work on in a window. In a preview window you can study the contents of your files and copy the parts you want to exchange. TexFinder can of course find and exchange text in other text files as well and is furthermore able to change file names of text files. It is very easy to handle and I can't think of working without this app. Unfortunately this RealBasic application stays in classic mode. It's still working nice in the classic environment under Panther, but people who don't own Mac OS 9 on their OS X Hard drive will miss this great app. (Version 1.8) |
