DRAGONCE Incredible ... you must pay the update from version 13.52 to version 14 !!!! I abandon this product... Read the commentary of the developper - straight and narrow... "This number is not reconize with the new version ? no, it works only up to version 13.52 If you want to use version 14, you have to buy an upgrade (29 Euro)." (Version 14.0)

BLUEPOLO Do not use this program to edit exif data! I downloaded this to bulk change exif data on some photos where a camera error had not recorded any exif data. Well its hard to find how to do it, but I foud it eventually. However, after changing the exif data, it trashes the file so that preview and even photoshop cannot read the jpg anymore! I got the pics back by saving as tiff and converting back in photoshop, but that lost me the exif data again. Lesson learnt - avoid! (Version 13.52)

TOMIS The download is 16MB for Universal, 10MB for PPC. I couldn't find a screen shot of the program anywhere on their website, if I had, I wouldn't have bothered downloading it. Too many palettes, too many menus. The program tries to be too many things at once, and it does none of them elegantly. To be fair, you _can_ accomplish the tasks the program was designed for. It's not as if it's severely lacking in features. The big problem is that it's a MacOS 9 interface with feature-creep being shoe-horned into a MacOS X existence. It just doesn't feel right. For example; using the mouse scrollwheel changes the document zoom level instead of actually scrolling the document. This is a good metaphore for the interface on the whole. (Version 13.01)

AVETENEBRAE Photoshop can act like that too, since we have a hand tool to *scroll* Who really use scrollwheel when working on big images ? By the way i agree with you about the OS9ish interface ! (Version 13.50)

ANONYMOUS I tried to download this program. It says the program is only 8.1MB. Not so. The compressed download is 8.1, but it quit unstuffing when my available memory was gone at 382MB with more still to unstuff. I don't recall Photoshop having anywhere near the size footprint of this program. The true size of this should be posted, not the size of the much compressed download. (Version 12.02)

GERHARD HUBER the exact size of the uncompressed version is 19233200 Bytes (version 12.03). That's about 19 MB, I think you had a download problem if you got more then 200 MB.

HSHIN Instead of relying on Safari, you can switch to Firefox. Next you add a free extension called DownThemAll, and the download will be trouble-free. (Version 12.51)

LEE If you are looking for and editing program that can support 16 bit PS compatible plugins, But dont want to deal with the higher learning curve associated with PS, or the higher cost, Look no further. Ideal for users of film scanners who want to edit at higher bit levels. (Version 10.04)

FEH! Stuffit 7.0 took a long time to unstuff this download (OS X 10.2.8) and it resulted in a *folder* icon that was actually the application itself. not good, I clicked on the folder icon, thinking it was truly a folder, hoping to find some info and was confronted with the application launch. NCIANCA Fairly complete painting program, somewhat like photoshop lite. Also reminds me a bit of Canvas. More features then some basic users need and some of the filters seem incomplete or their effects a somewhat strange. It's strange how a bitmap with effects applied to it acts more like a vector graphic when you try to use some of the tools, like copybrush. Some effects are only available to vector and some to bitmap, yet you can't convert a bitmap layer to a vector "bitmap". I find the vector/bitmap mode switching a little confusing. Using this program would take some getting used to. Overall I'd say it's not bad. The price is reasonable. Certainly seems like a better deal then TwilightBrush. For a simpler bitmap (MacPaint like) program PaintFx seems pretty good. For an excellet vector graphics program, check out Stone Create (Cocoa). Personally, I'm surprised that there are no bitmap programs that are Cocoa native. (Version 9.5.2)
