DESCRIPTION
DXoft Get Info is a collection of FileMaker Pro 5.x relational databases and
comes with a runtime version of the FileMaker Pro 5.5 application.
It is designed to let individual users track quickly and easily several key
information about their computer configuration:
- The Internet Accounts database stores your TCP/IP, Remote Access, E-mail,
News, FTP and Web page settings.
- The Internet Sites database is a powerful URL manager. It stores "login"
information for those web sites that use a registration/subscription system.
- The Registrations database stores serial numbers and registration
information.
- The Contacts database is closely integrated with the Registrations one to
let one easily find information about the authors, developers or publishers
of the sofware products one uses.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.1.2 adds the following:
- The program now includes a script to restore registration and contact information exported from Software & Hardware Tracker.
- As long as your system is set to use the U.S. formats for numbers, date and time, the program shouldn't ask you which format you'd like to use for data entry.
- Released as a "Carbon" installer created with Mindvision iVISE 7.4, for three reasons: to prevent users from trying to use a read-only disk image as a read-write volume; to reduce the size of the release; because the installer's requirements are the same as the program's, so if one can run the former, one can also run the latter.
