BLOWME  " I have 4 macs and have demo-d damn near every third party software ever coded, and Yuriy's iTunes controller V2 is the only one you want. Zap the rest.I watched it evolve into a comprehensive menu bar powerhouse that won't lock up your kernel. It can grab art and lyrics

using Googles engines so you get hard - to- find jpgs to customize your library. It runs in the bar or as a mini player with a visualizer option. Best 10 bucks I ever spent on code.- russ d

FRANZ  Think the change's a little bit too dramatic. From threatning customers to "kissing *ss"

Why is that, I wonder....

YURIY GEORGIEV  The bug is fixed. Added second skin by suggestion of Hendo. Both mini players now fades out and in on toggle. Also some other minor optimizations done. It is going to be released as soon as the internet difficults here got fixed. This most likely is going to happen at 15th of March, Monday. Thank you for your suggestions and testing.

DAJONEL  Now, finally for an actual comment directed towards the app. It crashes upon clicking play (and anything else that tries to connect to iTunes). So, now I have a more reasonable complaint.

I am using the MacBook6,1 running 10.6.2 with a 64-bit kernal and no customizations.

YURIY GEORGIEV  Thank you for your testing and your alert. I have something on mind... Is it too much if I ask you you to do the following routine:

(with iTunes already running)

1.run it

2. wait few seconds

3.start operating with it

Thank you again.

DAJONEL  It doesn't crash if iTunes is already open, however when opening iTunes with the Play/Pause or other command it does crash. Most users will probably want to open iTunes with the controller, so this crash is definitely one to fix.

YURIY GEORGIEV  I'm already working on it. :-)

It definitely have to be able to run iTunes otherwise it is not a controller but a garbage. Just someone does not done his work correctly. (excuse my stupidity :D)

Thank you for your help.

YURIY GEORGIEV  That's not a problem.

Would you mind to give me some hint on design that you think it gonna fit to iTunes Controller?

Maybe some other player's skin or something?

Thanks in advance.

EASER  And I shall apologize to you for starting a slug fest. Peace is a better alternative. Might I encourage all of us (myself included) to contribute positive suggestions to struggling developers? I brought up Synergy Advance because this was one experience (of several I've had) of a developer who genuinely dissed his contributors. At least the folks who are working on iTunes Controller seem genuinely interested in developing a good product and provide fast feedback. Many very good programs of all kinds are what they are today because of user suggestions for what to incorporate into their programs. I'm sure we could revisit a lot of them in their infancy and find all kinds of horrible things to say. Who's to say that in the near future, iTunes Controller won't become the flagship of what these kinds of programs are supposed to do? Especially in this economy, if someone shows eagerness and a desire to innovate, I want to support that.

EASER  Jeez, that's a lot of hostility for $4.99. I just tried the demo, and it works fine for me. If you're wondering if I'm a biased reviewer, please check my other reviews for programs over the past several years. I've never written anything about this program or shown any vested interest in it. I'm even holding off on giving iTunes Controller any kind of star rating here. I just figure that somebody who isn't hot under the collar should try to provide some kind of less emotional review. This isn't life-or-death here.

HENDO  It's not just about how it works. It's a visual eyesore, has limited functionality and like I said. Why use it when there are free alternatives that are lightyears ahead of this in terms of quality?

EASER  There's also such a thing as a program under development. If you plan to criticize on that basis, why don't you try using your anger to get me back the money I paid to Synergy Advance many years ago? That developer took our money and ran. I don't see any negative posts from you about that one.

DAJONEL  Really? First post is a 4 star review of this app? After all of the **** sent our way by the developer, I wouldn't be surprised if this post wasn't some how brought about by the developer himself. It's really sketchy to create an account and then instantly give a justifiably hated app 4 stars.

HENDO  Haha notice how they type the same way (fragmented english)

Clearly this is a second account the developer uses to boost his own product. No one in their right mind would give this anything over 2 stars. And that would be generous.

YURIY GEORGIEV  Again -- I'm not the person who wrote this review. This just doesn't sounds serious. I have enough work and things to do to. And please excuse my bad english, it's not my natural language. Also I hope you understand that I'm not the only person suffering from poor english here. :-) So fragmented english is something normal for other people too I guess.

I think that you are here just to offense aimlessly and nothing else. Maybe I'm wrong.

The problem is not the product, the language or the developer, the problem is inside you. :-)

HENDO  I think the problem is your inability to write quality software. Maybe learn a little something about interface and/or icon design. Your software is terribly ugly. Either man up and learn, or keep making software thats such an eyesore no matter how good it works I could never use it.

ATANAS SARIYSKI  I've been using this app for a while now and I must say - since I got the latest version today it's running quite smoothly and many of the previous drawbacks have been cleared. I see it's going in a positive direction and will continue supporting it. Thanks!
