BORLOX I haven't installed this and have no reason to, but anyone who does should use extreme caution. The files purportedly being distributed are proprietary. Does the packager have a license from Apple to distribute them? If not, he's infringing a copyright and so is anyone who copies this archive. There's no documentation, no web page, no email address, nothing. Suppose this turns out to be a trojan. Do you know where it's coming from? And if it's not a trojan, but actually does downgrade a QuickTime component, what are the consequences for compatibility and system stability? If there are none, why did Apple change the component? Which OS versions is this compatible with? (Version 1.1) |
