SCOTTYO This is a bit nervous-making.
Whether I download via the MacUpdate link or via the trek through Epson's US website to a download claimed to be 10.6-compatible, I get a .dmg that, when mounted, shows file dates in 2006 for everything. My Epson Scan app, downloaded months ago, has a version number of 3.2.4, but the new disk volume has "epson_scan_utility_303" in its name, which sounds familiar from 2-3 years ago. The downloaded file name is "epson12215.dmg".
I have 10.6.1 on a first-gen MacBook, and an Epson GT-X750 (Japanese branding) which Image Capture claims is a Perfection 4490, which seems correct. A bit of casual scanning did not turn up any problems with my previous driver in Elements 3, Elements 6, Epson Scan, Image Capture, or Preview, in 10.6 and 10.6.1. But of course, if the new driver has any goodies, I'd like to start using it, especially when I get back to family photo album scanning in a few months.
However, I'm going to wait and see if there are disaster reports before installing this version.
