DESCRIPTION
FLAC2Mac is the simplest way to convert FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) to Mac-compatible audio formats like Apple Lossless or AAC that can be played in iTunes and transferred to an iPod or iPhone.

FLAC files contain true CD-quality audio and when using the Apple Lossless format, FLAC2Mac continues to maintain the same quality as the original CD.

FLAC2Mac is an initial alpha release and as such, may contain many bugs. Please feel free to contact me with any suggestions that you have.

YYOO  Work well for me on 10.5. Drag and drop would be nice, and what I really missed is a progress bar in order to get a feeling how long the conversion will still take.

JILL PAT  - No multi channel support (it just quits after pressing convert)

- No 24bit and 32bit support (it just quits after pressing convert)

- Doesn't read OGG and AAC files

- It uses very old FLAC unix binaries. The developer needs to compile the latest version.

- No meta info/writing

Ok, this is a alpha release but it just doesn't work and should be released at this stage.

Wouldn't it then need to be called FlacOGGAAC2Mac?

When I downloaded the app I expected it to convert FLAC files to iTunes compatible files. I expected that because I read the description and name of the app. Since it wasn't named FlacOGGAAC2Mac I didn't expect it to also convert OGG or AAC files.

The only time the app crashed for me, after I converted about 600 songs, was when I mistakenly added an .m3u file to the convert list. That was my fault not the app's fault though.

PYLE129  This worked on my SNow Leopard Mac Pro just fine. Given that it is a no frills converter it's great. I would like to suggest 2 little additions to it though: A button to clear the 'add file' list after your done with that specific conversion, and an option box to select more than one file/album at a time. Otherwise it's great!
