DESCRIPTION
Easy Fractal is an interactive picture generating program so easy to use that almost anybody can conjure richly colored and aesthetically pleasing motifs and structures onto their computer screen. The program works with different iteration formulas, which calculate the so-called Mandelbrot and Julia Sets. A special color palette editor can further enhance these already very elaborately colored pictures, which will result in many different and interesting effects.

An endless number of fascinating structures are created by generating pictures directly with the integrated formulas or by experimenting with the enclosed sample pictures.

ANONYMOUS  When the application is launched for the very first time, five windows do open. Two control palettes, the rendering palette, the manual and the registration window.

It is as easy to dismiss the manual window as with any other Mac app. Once the registration is filled in, that window does not reappear unless you specifically call it up. The two control palettes - one for color, the other for parameters etc - are, in fact, very easy to work with. The learning curve is not at all steep.

I gave 4 stars on features because I felt it could benefit from more presets. 4 four stars on stability because I had to reregister - when I did so, I encountered a bug. Though I downloaded the English language version, part of the menu is in German. I will contact the developer with a description. Previous email has been answered promptly and I have no reason to doubt that will change.

It as true - as the previous, splenetic commentor noted, that there are other fractal rendering apps. I have several of them. It is not Artmatic and for $20, I don't expect it to be. I have enjoyed using it and consider the fee money well spent.

ANONYMOUS  This is an astonishingly bad presentation of something that has already been done over and over and over by now.

The author violates all user interface design principles by simultaneously opening 4 or 5 windows when the app launches, without giving a clue as to which one is the real controller. Then on top of that, none of the windows work anyway.

And this is shareware for which the author anticipates receiving compensation.

He has to be kidding, right?

Yet another lame app brought to you by a RealBasic wanker who apparently believes that software can write itself.
