IRONDOORKNOB I had the same problem. I downloaded the update and ideskcal made my computer slow to a very serious crawl. It took me over two hours to get it off my computer. I love this software so I do hope they manage to fix the problem, but DO NOT load it at this point. (Version 2.2)

JACQUEG I downloaded this software, paid the fee, and used it happily for about a month. Then I downloaded the update. BIG MISTAKE. My MacBook, running the latest version of Leopard, started acting like a WIndoze machine inflicted with an overload of spyware. I had to restart in safe mode to uninstall the software. Wondering whether the file had become corrupted, I removed iDeskCal and downloaded anew. No fluke, my MacBook is unusable with this software installed. The company has not responded to my request for assistance. Even if your computer handles this software OK, you should think twice about people who do not respond to their paid-up customers. NATHAN GUINLE I have been using the application called icalviewer for the last few years (in conjunction with flexcal). This app was brought to my attention and completely changed the way my desktop looks! Before it was MANY moving blocks of daily events. then to add a new event I had to evoke flexcal. Now there is a MUCH more mac-like list of my events. Built into this app is the ability to add events. there by removing the need for flexcal. In less than a week of trying out this app I have decided that it is a must have for the busy professional \. In just a quick glance..... I can see what I need to be doing as add new events in a flash. Worth the money! (Version 2.0.2.1)

ANONYMOUS Can I ask what is wrong with the Spanish translation? The Spanish translation is in Mexico dialect, so it won't be exact for say Spain Spanish. If you are interested in helping fix the translations for a free version (or a refund if you have already purchased) please email us at: support at hashbangind.com (Version 2.0.2.1)

ERIC WOEHLER Bought this a couple of days ago and immediately decided it was a "must-have". The documentation is somewhat lacking, but the two queries I had about aspects of the app were both answered promptly by the developers with clear instructions and advice. Would recommend the app - at least try it and see if you like it. I have been looking for a simple to do/reminder/tasks list for a LONG time, tried most of them, but this app is elegant and did it for me. (Version 2.0)

JACKO I like this app as well. For me, it has a visual glitch on the ToDo tab where it doesn't look like the border was finished on top. Also, I sent a message to the developer asking for the option to change the menu icon to something a little more subtle. All else is good. (Version 2.0)

GARY L. GRAY Because I want to be able to quickly see my schedule without having to fire up iCal. iDeskCal launches when I log in and it is always there. It also allows me to quickly add an appointment or meeting without launching iCal. I use it for much the same reasons I use GeekTool. With GeekTool, I like seeing my local radar at a quick glance and I like seeing how Time Machine is doing at a quick glance. Sure, I could fire up Safari and go to a web page that displays my local radar, but GeekTool allows me to see that MUCH faster. Sure, I could run the Console and filter out backupd process entries, but GeekTool allows me to view that information much more quickly. (Version 2.0)

GARY L. GRAY This is a very nice little app. It is wonderful to be able to be able to use Expose to reveal the desktop and have a quick glance at my schedule. iDeskCal is easy to install and configure and has been stable in the few days I have been running it (though I wish the position of the calendar on the desktop was a little more intuitive). It will display any calendar, even those to which I only subscribe. I highly recommend this app if you want to have your calendar conveniently displayed on your desktop. (Version 2.0)

PENGMAN Why not save your money and just put your calendar in your dock(s)? One click and it's activated. (Version 2.0)

ANONYMOUS Switching to the Dashboard is enough for some. For others switching to the Dashboard can be seen as a chore. The Dashboard is incredibly slow for a lot of people, and also requires you to actively think about checking your calendar. iDeskCal works great for never having to think about checking what is on your calendar. In multi-monitor setups it can be placed in a location that is usually not covered by applications. In single screen setups it works great, as any time you close or minimize all your programs (to get to your desktop for example), there is your calendar. Without thinking about it you have seen what is on your calendar and you are less likely to forget about that days meeting. Not having to think about checking your calendar is probably one of the biggest advantages of using iDeskCal. (Version 2.0)
