DESCRIPTION
Plexoo... When you need to work on your graphic designs, web designs, edit photos, or transform any images, you may need to resize that image. There are not many methods in which you can do this quickly and easily, but Plexoo is the ultimate solution.
Plexoo allows you to resize, rotate one or multiple images to your specifications. Once you have opened an image or a group of images you get a range of options for you to apply. In addition to resizing the image (with or without keeping proportions), Plexoo allows you to rotate and change the image to a variety of popular file types. With Plexoo, you can also draw many doodles and extract application icons and images.

NOTAFOOL This is a pretty primitive application at present, in my opinion. One cannot resize a photo by PERCENTAGE at all. Only by inputting specific numbers, which is less than satisfactory. There is also no PREVIEW of what the resized photo is going to look like. There is also NO "Help" or documentation whatsoever at present and the application requires such. It is NOT particularly intuitive at all. By the way, I HAVE paid for and registered the application. It MAY well turn out to be very good at some stage in the future - when improved considerably - but at the moment I find it hard to raise much enthusiasm for it. There are lots of re-sizers out there at present that, in my opinion, do a better job.

ANONYMOUS It's a beta version and we have a strong pipeline of features for the product. Documentation will be included in the final version.

TOD WICKS I don't understand why anyone would *pay* for a product that's in Beta. Why fund something that isn't ready for prime-time yet? I looked for anything to do with "rotate" and couldn't find a darned way of doing a rotate except to rotate a doodled in box. It is not intuitive, not easy to figure out,especially when dealing with crashes. This app crashed once while selecting the box doodle tool, once while clicking one icon after another trying to see which one would bring up the rotate tool, and once as I sat there staring at the window after dragging an image into it. All crashes occurred within a couple of minutes of each launch.

NOTAFOOL On the Developer's website it used to say that the final version would be released on 14 May. Then that was changed to 15 May. It now IS 15 May and there is no sign of the final version or the promised full documentation. On the contrary - on 13 May yet another Beta version is released !! Why would anyone release another Beta version if the final version is, in fact, due for release only 2 days later ? Frankly I reckon now that this product is a lemon. And I do not trust the Developer.

NOTAFOOL And today the Developer's website has been changed yet again, to announce that the planned release of the final version will be on 24 May 2009. I paid $12.00 in good faith for this unsatifactory program and now have NO confidence in either it or the integrity of the company developing it.

NOTAFOOL Yet ANOTHER beta version released - just 3 days before the SUPPOSED release of the FINAL version on 24 May ?? Is this Developer for real ?? Or just stringing everyone along with a whole succession of worthless and unreliable promises that ONE DAY there WILL in fact be a final version of this currently unsatisfactory program ? And that there WILL one day be PROPER documentation for it ? (At present there is NONE whatsoever). This is really VERY poor indeed. Particularly as the Developer is currently accepting money for what is simply an unsatisfactory beta version of an unsatisfactory application !! Beware.

ANONYMOUS Dear NOTAFOOL, have you ever downloaded a beta version before? A beta version is made in order to find bugs and receive feedback from users. A beta version is often full of bugs. I can give you hundred of example of beta applications that you can purchase during the beta period . Just make a search on macupdate.com of beta applications. The application was delayed to May 24 because of issues with Mac OS X 10.5.7. They have now been fixed and the application is now rock solid. We just have to fix some some minor issues before to release the final version. You complain to buy a beta but it was always mentionned on our website that the application was a BETA. SO THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNFAIR COMMENTS

TOD WICKS To The Dev, who logged in as "anonymous": True there are many applications pitched in MU and VT that are beta versions, versions that the honorable developers think need to have a broader test before releasing the product. The big difference is that most honorable and decent developers don't charge for the beta until it goes FCS. I personally don't like greedy developers charging people to test their beta (and as you state, often buggy) software. This is what we expect from a sleazy outfit like Microsoft but not shareware indie developers in the Mac community. I always urge users to go ahead and try out beta software but not to ever pay for it. That's like buying a 2011 model car that's still in the design phase. Of course I'd test it if they gave it to me (with the proviso that I had to return it at the end of the test period). To other visitors reading this: DON'T BUY BETA! DON'T BUY BUGGY SOFTWARE!

ANONYMOUS To make things clear...nobody forced this customer to buy a beta version so the comments were unfair. It's not true that most beta versions are free, It's still rare. anyway, our updates/upgrades are always free for your full life and we released the final version two days in advance.

NOTAFOOL At no stage have I ever suggested that anyone forced me to pay for the Beta version. But when I did pay for it I did expect it to be released on the promised date. Not a week later. In any event, now that I have the so-called "Final Version", I have to say that I find it no way any better than the Beta version. It still totally lacks the ability to reduce or magnify an image by a chosen PERCENTAGE - which is a feature any GOOD resizer should have. And it is still NOT as solidly stable as asserted. It has already crashed on me in the middle of my using it. And I do NOT find the documentation particularly well put together or helpful. It seems that this Developer simply objects to being told that his product is not very good. Something I suspect he will soon hear from not just myself.

ANONYMOUS For NOTAFOOL, Why you don't send your crash report to the developer? it's something very useful to fix issues. Percentage option will be added in a future version. We only add the most requested features and this one has only been requested by a small percentage of customers. Any feedback is always welcome to improve the product. We love feedback but not unfair comments. That's all.

PATTE The look is quite good, but that's it. The usability isn't the best. Having to switch back to the previous step to resize pictures when dealing with horizontal and vertical pictures isn't a fully thought through solution. The standard features are there but nothing more like enhanced save/export features. My hopes are high that one day this application will be better than ImageWell or Picturesque, but this is not in the near future I suppose.

C. SPENCER VAN GULICK I really have wanted this to work on my iMac with OS 10.5.7, but I still can't get it to do so. It launches and looks beautiful like all app4mac's software, and the crop and "doodle" functions work fine. But the resizer I can't figure out. When I constrain proportions the original seems to resize to other dimensions than those I've chosen, and if I resize without constraining and "authenticate," the dimensions don't seem to change at all. Of course, it's possible that the saved version would correct noptwithstanding, but I can't tell without buying the software, since a license is needed to save. Could be me, not the software. Bummer!
