LOUISELOMAS  I was so pleased when I saw this app as I have been a devotee of the sorely missed tubetv, which worked perfectly for years. Sadly I seem to have the same problem as many other posters below i.e. that tubepod asks for 'growlerhelp' and 'play sound', which I don't have. I've tried telling them that they're part of tubepod, following the post below that says the problem has been fixed, but to no avail. If anybody has any answers (uncomplicated ones please, I'm not a computer expert) or any suggestions of how to download videos off youtube for my ipod, then I'd be over the moon to hear from you. I've tried miro: useless unless you want to watch their selection of videos, I've tried download helper, which just messes everything up. Getting really fed up and frustrated with this now :(

NACHOPOLEAN  I wouldn't download this. If you get it and click on it, it will open a little box asking you to locate growlhelperapp.app. If you don't have this on your computer, you will naturally press 'Cancel', but it wont let you. so then I tried to quit the program, but this didn't work.

If you are having this trouble, you have to force quit TubePod.

You might say: Well why don't you just download growlhelperapp.app?

well, you can do this, but if you read some comments made about it, you will find out, that:

1. It will take up 300 megabits... for what???

2. Once downloaded, it has started asking to locate it every time you open itunes.

MISHA  I have the same issue as ROBERTS2424. Just tried TubePod for the first time today, popped in a URL (curious to see whether it was smart enough to grab the HQ version), but no go... when it was almost done I got the message:

"There was an error in calculating the conversion process."

Then I click OK and get the message:

"Where is Play Sound.app?"

(Hint: it's here, on MacUpdate, and not on my Mac since it's quite old and I have no use for it.)

So I click "Cancel" since I don't have Play Sound which yields the error:

"AppleScript Error File Play Sound.app wasn't found. (-43)"

Then the app crashes....

ROBERTS2424  Have never gotten this to work. Today v1.0.5 came back with a "error in caculating conversion process."

CA  It seems TubePod can't work if GrowlHelper isn't installed on your computer.

DAJONEL  Okay... I downloaded 1.0.4 and the problem is not solved. I randomly selected this video:

then clicked "Convert." It began converting, but then froze, beach-balled, and crashed (well, I had to Force-Quit the app). I can send you the error report if you want.

No support files were created; I think it must only create them when it successfully completes a process, which it continuously fails to do.
