NACHOPOLEAN  I wouldn't download this. If you get it and click on it, it will open a little box asking you to locate growlhelperapp.app. If you don't have this on your computer, you will naturally press 'Cancel', but it wont let you. so then I tried to quit the program, but this didn't work.

If you are having this trouble, you have to force quit TubePod.

You might say: Well why don't you just download growlhelperapp.app?

well, you can do this, but if you read some comments made about it, you will find out, that:

1. It will take up 300 megabits... for what???

2. Once downloaded, it has started asking to locate it every time you open itunes.

MISHA  I have the same issue as ROBERTS2424. Just tried TubePod for the first time today, popped in a URL (curious to see whether it was smart enough to grab the HQ version), but no go... when it was almost done I got the message:

"There was an error in calculating the conversion process."

Then I click OK and get the message:

"Where is Play Sound.app?"

(Hint: it's here, on MacUpdate, and not on my Mac since it's quite old and I have no use for it.)

So I click "Cancel" since I don't have Play Sound which yields the error:

"AppleScript Error File Play Sound.app wasn't found. (-43)"

Then the app crashes....

Process: TubePod [1004]

This should probably still be in beta... it will be cool when it works well (and if it grabs HQ video).

FIFTYFOUR123  Can you please open Console in /Applications/Utilities and then try to convert a video with TubePod then search TubePod in console in the top right of the window, copy and paste everything it says into an email and send it to me (fiftyfour123@gmail.com). Thanks.

And by the way...HQ video support will eventually be implemented.

CA  It seems TubePod can't work if GrowlHelper isn't installed on your computer.

FIFTYFOUR123  CA: I made sure to patch that problem prior to TubePod's initial release. What leads you to belive that is the source of your problem? Thanks.

CA  When I launch TubePod, TubePod asks me where GrowlApp is. GrowlApp is not installed on my computer so I don't know what to do.

FIFTYFOUR123  That's really weird. What version of Mac OS X do you have, and are you sure you have the newest version of TubePod (1.0.5)?

DNELSON  Okay... I downloaded 1.0.4 and the problem is not solved. I randomly selected this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5jMOK87N7A&feature=rec-HM-rev-rn

then clicked "Convert." It began converting, but then froze, beach-balled, and crashed (well, I had to Force-Quit the app). I can send you the error report if you want.

No support files were created; I think it must only create them when it successfully completes a process, which it continuously fails to do.

ANONYMOUS  Hi, you are using an incorrect YouTube link. Please remove everything from the end except the video id. This would be the URL you should use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5jMOK87N7A

I'll see if i can make it automatically truncate the URL to the proper format. But for now you'll just have to do it manually. Please let me know if this works.

Thanks.

DNELSON  It got one step farther but still didn't download. There was no beach ball, but the Convert and Empty Queue toolbar buttons started blinking and the download progress didn't move.

Every second it writes this to the console (whether downloading or inactive):

"Disk Users:david:Library:Application Support:TubePod:progresscurl wasnÂ’t found."

I bet that's your problem; it isn't writing that file.
