WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.1.9:

New features

  • Attempt automatic router configuration (through UPnP) to avoid having to manually add the port mapping in the router.
  • Added limited support for iPhone / iPod touch.
  • Added multiple languages support. So far English and Spanish are supported.
  • Revamped player section: Longer progress line, bigger buttons.
  • Added Shuffle and Repeat buttons.
  • Added ability to download all songs from a playlist.
  • Added permissions to enable/disable download. It'll be disabled by default.
  • Added advanced config setting to set timeout for starting to play a song before skipping it.
  • under Mac, no longer show the pulpTunes icon in the dock, just in the menu bar.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed iTunes9 incompatibility: crashing when iTunes DJ is disabled in iTunes prefs.
  • Some songs were not when sorting under some rare scenarios.
  • When using a port different than the default 1500O, the connection instructions window was stating pulpTunes couldn't receive connections from the outside, even if it really could.
  • Albums with the same name but different artists were showing the same cover art.

MIKAELF  New version from macupdate works fine. I got the old version from your homepage yesterday;-)

One request. Configuring my router for external access is cumbersome.

Most routers supports NAT portmapping. Look at these guys product.

Automatically maps the external port in my Airport router and most new routers. Zero configuration.

ALPEB  Yea, the homepage links to the last "stable" version (1.0.1). I'm just waiting a few days till 1.1.0 RC1 gets tested to replace that old stable.

You're absolutely right about the router mapping, this is the biggest usability concern right now for non tech savy users. High on the priorities list for version 1.2.

MIKAELF  Another comment.

Why do I have to point out the iTunes Library? I have multiple libraries on my machine and I use PowerTunes to manage them but there is definitely an environment variable pointing to the current library. If I just starts iTunes (without PowerTunes running) it will automatically pick the last one pointed to by PowerTunes.

From the error message it seems you're not using the latest version. Please try with 1.1.0 RC1 from the link above in this page.
