OSP It is my twitter client of choice. Tweetie has found the one hand the sleek user interface and on the other hand a huge number of functions under the hood. Thus, as a newcomer to Twitter it does not stand in my way and as I'm growing up in Twitter it has the pro-tools at hand. I highly recommend it to anyone using Twitter. (Version 1.2.4)

D00D Stop putting this as a comment on all the Twitter clients. You can easily link your Facebook status to Twitter if it's that important to you. (Version 1.2.4)

RBUGAJEWSKI Best Twitter client for Mac OS X! I searched a long time for the best Twitter client for Mac OS X and finally bought Twitter. Tweetie has a great, polished and focused UI and I can do everything I want. The multi-account support is implemented in a really great way (IÂ’m a huge fan of the iconized sidebar) and the overall interaction is very intuitive. I love the sophisticated keyboard shortcuts throughout the whole application. Another great feature is the conversation view that lets me easily follow a running conversation. Looking up user data and following / unfollowing is also a very easy procedure and something that I previously did only through TwitterÂ’s web interface. The last thing I like is the integrated image view for TwitPic etc. It not only looks nice, but it gives you also a fast and QuickLook-like interface whenever you need to view an image. It gets easily out of your way so you can continue to read newer tweets. (Version 1.2.4)

WRELEVEN Since this has a menu-extra please allow for icon removal in the dock. Of course you'd need to include all the major menu function in the little menu-extra menu. I don't think this should live in the dock and the menu - pick one (the menu ;-) ! (Version 1.2.2)

ITISTODAY While the UI is pretty good (not great, it can be a bit confusing and non-inuitive, it took me about a minute to figure out how to post a tweet, "Oh, it's that tiny camouflaged button in the lower-left!), the fact that it doesn't support authentication for URL shorteners makes it unusable for me. MICKSMAC I paid for this, only to discover it has a huge drawback: unlike Nambu, it doesn't substitute shortened URLs, it simply truncates your whole tweet (adding a short new URL), effectively losing all text after the URL. I have no idea why people rave about this client. It is unusable for me. Do yourself a favor, go get Nambu for free. (Version 1.2.2)

LEWISH While they obviously want to sell licenses, the unlicensed version is 100% exactly the same aside from some unobtrusive ads now and then. I have a feeling the license cost is a bit prohibitive intentionally - finding the most profitable intersection of ad revenue and license revenue. (Version 1.2.2)

WALRUSCP $15-20 is pretty much the price point for higher end Twitter clients (e.g., Twitterific is $15). I bought Tweetie while it was on sale early on, and I have to say I like it for its simplicity and clean interface. I also love Eventbox, and pull that out when I am doing heavy lifting social networking (Google Reader, Twitter, Facebook, etc., etc.). Atebits should probably consider pricing Tweetie at $13-15 to directly compete with Twitterific. I think they'd find a lot of success in doing so. (Version 1.2.2)
