JEREMYAN Compared to Echofon, Tweetie uses more memory. They have similar functions. Echofon interface is simpler. Tweetie is fancier. But Echofon works well with Magic Mouse scrolling and Tweetie doesn't yet. And Echofon for Mac is free as of now. They might charge money for it. But as of now Echofon is better. And did I mention that Echfon can sync with the iPhone version for unread tweets? (Version 1.2.4)

BEN GOLD I'm not sure why atebits has been so slow to update this app (probably because he was working on Tweetie 2 for iPhone). He is working on Tweetie 2 for Mac now, in fact people who bought the recent MacHeist bundle get beta access to it. Anyway, this is a great twitter client for mac, and I expect the next version to be nothing short of amazing. This guy is damn good at designing easy to use UIs. There are a lot of really nice features in this app like previews of image links and short links, multiple account support, and in-app video tweeting. There are a lot of Mac Twitter clients, but many of them are not native apps and are not nearly as well designed as this app is. Best part: You can use it unlicensed for free, you just have to deal with a few unobtrusive ads once in a while. (Version 1.2.4)

JONBO I have used quite a few Twitter clients. Tweetie and Nambu has been my favorite so far! It has powerful functions but is SUPER easy to use. I'am currently trying to decide which I like better though haha. I'll keep you guys posted =) (Version 1.2.4)

RELUX I love this app and it's my main client. However, it does need an update and is aging. Would be nice to be able to change the update interval, twitter list support, better search, trends, etc. (Version 1.2.4)

KIOSHI You have valid points, it's lighter and doesn't take up your whole screen. But without Facebook integration I still prefer to open a browser tab with the hootsuite website since it's almost like tweetdeck without the heavy resource use (I also like hootsuite's abitily to schedule your tweets/facebook updates). Just my opinion of course. (Version 1.2.4)

STONEMAN Not true. All you need to do is control-click (or right-click) on the tweet in question and select "Repost..." (Version 1.2.4)

KIOSHI I dunno why this client is so popular when Tweetdeck is so much better and free. (Version 1.2.4)

KBEAT Mainly because it has a much cleaner and more Mac like interface. Plus the fact that TweetDeck is an AdobeAIR app which makes it a resource hog. Most people don't want a Twitter client using the resources of Photoshop. Also, when it was originally released, it was much closer feature wise with TweetDeck. Since then, Twitter's APIs have seen a lot of enhancements, and TweetDeck has updated with them regularly. Look for Tweetie 2 on the Mac soon, which will bring all the great additions that we now have with Tweetie 2 on the iPhone. (Version 1.2.4)

STONEMAN I use it because I can check tweeties from three separate accounts I use (two for different occupations I pursue, and one private) without hogging a lot of desktop space or resources. But I do wish it had spam reporting. (Version 1.2.4)

SONICDEVIANT If I change my profile pic on Twitter then I just get blank icons for myself in Tweetie. What gives? (Version 1.2.4)

OSP It is my twitter client of choice. Tweetie has found the one hand the sleek user interface and on the other hand a huge number of functions under the hood. Thus, as a newcomer to Twitter it does not stand in my way and as I'm growing up in Twitter it has the pro-tools at hand. I highly recommend it to anyone using Twitter. (Version 1.2.4)
