MACGIC  Excellent software. The developper is very responsive. Willow is elegant, easy to use, stable, better than many similar applications, and...free.

ENCRO  You should make this the actual version and provide the Felt Version as an option. After playing with WillowPE it looks pretty cool and can do quite a bit. I can see you are trying to make it fun and it shines through with the playful language all over the website but I feel people would take it more seriously if this were the actual version in the spotlight.

What would be really awesome is the addition of a step sequence that allowed keyboard control and inline sending of variables, the pasteboard and macros similar to how AutoIT works on the PC which I use heavily in a business environment (It can do much more than this but there is still no Mac version or equivalent yet).

eg: A webform sequence

Send("{"!TAB"}") ;Send Command Tab to switch back to browser from willow.

Send("{$EMAIL}") ;Paste the current $email variable.

Send("{TAB 2}") ;Send Tab Sequence Twice.

Send("{@HOUR}")

Send("{DOWN 3}")

Send("{TAB}")

Send("a random string of words")

Send("{TAB}")

or even:

Send($name & "{SPACE}" & $department & "{SPACE}" & "|" & "{SPACE}" & @Mon & "-" & @MDay & "{SPACE}" & "|" & "{SPACE}" & @Hour & ":" & @Min & "{SPACE}" & "|" & "{SPACE}")

ANONYMOUS  Hey thanks for you comment.

About the felt interface being the option, you're completely correct and I'm redoing the website and documentation from 10th of May to show exactly that. Haven't decided yet how the best way to re-badge them though. As an aside any serial purchased for either works on the other. So if you've purchased the felt version then feel free to use PE instead.

Thanks for the link to AutoIt, I will definitely check it out. We have another little tool called MadRuby that allows you to create macros like how you describe. I understand you have found something to fit your needs but if you're interested you can check it out and let me know where you think it needs improvement, there'd be a free license in it for you. The MacUpdate URL for it is:

Thanks again,

Joe
