DESCRIPTION

Safari 4 Modifier... I have to set up quite a few Macs, and as I got tired of always using the terminal to change the hidden preferences of Safari 4 I wrote a quick app using REALbasic to make life easier for me. As others might find it useful too I decided to put it out into the wild - but please be aware that you are using it at your own risk. The app is doing the same thing that the terminal commands are doing so nothing should go haywire.

S4M could get trapped in an error loop if the unix shell (for whatever reason) cannot execute the given commands

	Jun 8 2009	MARKUS WINTER Safari 4 final Apple seems to have changed Safari 4 so that the changes are no longer set via Prefs but are build-in. Nothing I can do about that until someone figures out a way to modify Safari 4. (Version 0.3.2)		+2

	Mar 29 2009	MARKUS WINTER @ Titanic Safari 4 Modofoer can already do that. You just need to make sure that both "Toolbar redesign" and "Use New Load Progress Style" are disabled as the toolbar redesign will automatically enable the new progress indicator. (Version 0.2.2)		-1

	Mar 26 2009	TITANIC Okay. I tried another similar app to add some changes to Safari 4 Beta, but it doesn't work and doesn't suit my need. You know, I want a good plugin that can bring back the Safari 3's "BLUE BAR LOADER INDICATOR." The Safari 4 Beta is just using the "spinning" circle at the right side. Very trouble some, especially if the internet around you is just DARN SLOW. So the developer. Can you please bring that feature back? I might pay this app if it can. Thanks. (Version 0.2.2)		+2

THREEDEE912 I actually *do* want this feature. I dislike having my entire browsing history cleared when I clear my searches.

MARKUS WINTER Are you playing dumb on purpose? Of course clear history also clears the searches. But what if you only want to clear the searches and keep the history?

	Mar 24 2009	MARKUS WINTER "Clear Recent Searches" is NOT the same as selecting "Clear History" from the "History" menu of Safari. The searches are what you search for in the google bar, the history are also the web sites you visited. (Version 0.2.2)		+2
