Safari 4 Buddy is a Mac OS X Utility that enables the ability to change several hidden preferences in the Safari 4 Public Beta web browser, such as: moving the Tab Bar, reverting the Progress Style indicator, disabling Google Suggest and Top Sites and more.
THEBEAUTIFULONE Wow, this app is exactly what I have been looking for. I do not like the new tab bar or the new progress indicator. Thanks you, Safari Buddy, for letting me make Safari better than ever! (Version 1.1)
DJCZ Works as it should. What really annoys me about Safari and I'm surprised Apple hasn't fixed this yet, but the option to automatically close the download window upon completion. It would be great if Safari 4 Buddy had this option. (Version 1.0)
HOTSCIENTIST I guess I can't complain as it is free but I prefer Safari 4 Modifier - it has more options and looks better (yes, looks matter to women too, not just guys) (Version 1.0)
ORION MK. V Perfect! I wish Apple would build this into a advanced customization preference window, so we didn't have to rely on generous coders to allow us a way to make Apple products work the way WE want them to, not how Apple dictates. (Version 1.0)
I personally love the top tabs and will be keeping them where they are but it's a great relief to once again have the real feedback provided by the blue progress bar. After applying the change and relaunching Safari, you just have to go to 'customise toolbar' and add the old-style 'stop/reload' button.
Got rid of the Google suggestions nonsense too. (Version 1.0)
MACINTOSH SAUCE This program does what it is supposed to do - avoid using the Terminal. Works perfectly and and now Safari 4 beta has the look and feel I am used to. :) Thanks! (Version 1.0)
