wxHexEditor is a hex editor tool for HUGE files in Linux mainland. But it's good at Mac OS X too. This tool don't load whole file to your RAM. You can read/write files and devices up to some exabytes ( megabyte -> gigabyte -> terabyte -> petabyte -> exabyte ) for expense of some Megabytes of RAM.
FOOFOORABBIT Yes, obviously...but what's with the user interface? I've never seen a developer go through the extraordinary lengths to create a Linux/Windows like custom window to have the window widgets on the right.
Like you said, this is a hex editor...there are already tons of excellent hex editors on Mac OS X (HexFiend comes to mind)...why did the developer feel like creating such an atrocious port when there are already many quality ones on OS X. (Version 0.07a)

HERMIT @foofoorabbit - there is an explanation for all your questions on the program's website. It would help keep the information an reviews on this site useful if the people that wish to make them could at least look at the program's web site before posting.
True, it is longer than your average twitter, so I can see how that would be taxing... (Version 0.07a)

HERMIT "Written with C++/wxWidgets GUI libs and can be used with other OSes such as Mac OS, Windows..." So, it's a Linux program using a universal library for maximum portability to other OSes from its original one, Linux.
