DESCRIPTION
Risk Engine links into iWork Numbers and Microsoft Excel 2008 spreadsheet models to allow you to run detailed Monte Carlo analyses with multiple inputs and outputs. The input values for the Monte-Carlo simulation can be directly modified by the user within the spreadsheet interface to allow for maximum flexibility within the simulation. The application also allows shuffling of data for Bootstrap type of analysis.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.4.1:
  • Added the ability to generate and view cumulative distributions of output values directly within Risk Engine. Cumulative distributions plots be be accessed through the Output menu.
  • Added a built in Plotting Guide for getting started with plotting output results.
  • Added the ability to export histograms back into the spreadsheet application.
  • Fixed a problem with histogram plots where the plot appeared to be inverted.
  • Fixed a small numerical error with histogram plots.
  • Fixed an error with the generation of random numbers with seeded values in Excel.
  • Other minor speed improvements and bug fixes.
  • REQUIREMENTS
    • iWork '09 Numbers or Microsoft Excel 2008
    • Mac OS X 10.5 or later

LMP  "Links into your iWork Numbers models to run detailed Monte Carlo analy"

I love this description: concise and totally incomprehensible. The way I understand it, this software allows you to import detailed numbers from the Monte Carlo Rally in your butt! It gets better every time I read it!

UMIJIN  It's Greek to you, because it's an advanced tool for scientists and mathematicians. If you don't understand what it is, then it's not for you. Just move along.

If you want to know Monte Carlo methods are, G••gle it. These methods are used to generate random numbers for simulation purposes. Wikipedia lists a several ways they are used.
