Important note: Versions of Risk Engine after 1.3 require a minimum of OS X 10.5 Leopard. This and future versions of Risk Engine will no longer support OS X 10.4 Tiger.
DESCRIPTION
Risk Engine links into iWork Numbers and Microsoft Excel 2008 spreadsheet models to allow you to run detailed Monte Carlo analyses with multiple inputs and outputs. The input values for the Monte-Carlo simulation can be directly modified by the user within the spreadsheet interface to allow for maximum flexibility within the simulation. The application also allows shuffling of data for Bootstrap type of analysis.
An issue where the histogram was badly formatted or incorrect when large numbers were being used has been addressed. Addressing this issue has also resulted in some formatting changes for the graph.
Other minor issues addressed.
Outstanding issues:
Some users are having issues deleting cells from the Input Cell list. This is an outstanding issue and is being addressed as quickly as possible.
LMP "Links into your iWork Numbers models to run detailed Monte Carlo analy"
I love this description: concise and totally incomprehensible. The way I understand it, this software allows you to import detailed numbers from the Monte Carlo Rally in your butt! It gets better every time I read it!
UMIJIN It's Greek to you, because it's an advanced tool for scientists and mathematicians. If you don't understand what it is, then it's not for you. Just move along.
If you want to know Monte Carlo methods are, Ggle it. These methods are used to generate random numbers for simulation purposes. Wikipedia lists a several ways they are used. (Version 0.4b75)
