DESCRIPTION
Warranty Hero helps you track warranties for products and expiration of medicinals, keeping yourself informed of how long a warranty lasts or if a medicinal product is about to expire.

It also integrates with iCal to remind you when some thing is about to expire. Attache receipts to your product listings to have it just in place, if you don't have a scanner, it supports built-in iSight cameras so you can take a photo of the product and receipt.

WHAT'S NEW

  • Fixes a bug that could lead to a loss of images in certain situations

K8J  When I fired up the demo to give it a whirl, I was immediately greeted with an Activation Screen, "to reduce software piracy". Is this a Microsoft product?

I don't care how good a product may be - immediately treating me like someone who would steal software is a sure-fire way to lose my business.

Warranty Hero was deleted from my system with zero hesitation.

My advice: Unless you like being treated like a thief, find an alternative.

BROADBEAN  They must have changed it slightly so you shouldn't feel like a thief as much anymore! The Activation Failed screen is annoying, and there should be other ways to prevent piracy, but it is a trial afterall - don't take it so personally! :D

    ANONYMOUS  Hi Christian,

Sorry, but there's also issues with french localisation. No offense, but was this was obviously transtlated with Google translation tool or something like that. "Extrémité de la garantie" should be replaced by "Expiration de la garantie" or "Fin de la garantie", "Traînez une image ici" by "Glissez une image ici". And the alert message when trying to add more than one product, that's not french at all. Same thing about the menus :" Nouveau de la sélection" ? "Fremer" ?

Warranty Hero is a good and pretty useful idea, and it's very well made. But, please, try to find a real person to do the translation correctly.

::MILE::  While this is a good idea and a seemingly useful product for a decent price here's yet another European (or rather German) company that just neglects including international localization...! I'm so sick of that kind of lazyness...! (Spricht man in Aschaffenburg kein Deutsch mehr, Herr Schuster...?!?)

And if you really think that you have to pretend being all cool and keep everything in English, then at least get a dictionary and correct the gazillion mistakes all over your website...! Jeez, people, you're emberassing yourself...

Thanks a lot for your opinions. Check the update 1.0.3 to find the german localization ;)

If you have more ideas or requests or if you want to correct some misspelling

would be the right place, that way is the fastest for me. Additionally let other people know your thoughts on sites like this.
