BDIKKAT  Great little utility.

In the preferences, under the "Menu" section, there is an option to check, "Add key equivalents to numeric keys" (it appends the Apple key character).

Anyone know what this actually does?

(I was looking for a clipboard manager that allows me to paste items by something like pressing keys "Command-1" for the first item, "Command-2" for the second item, and so-on - like CopyPaste used to do. I wasn't sure if this preference was for that functionality.)

PORTERRJ  seems to be chewing up a lot of CPU activity - generally hangs around 40-45% according to Activity Monitor. About 40MB Real Memory. Running OS x 10.6.2 on an Intel iMac.

Anyone else seeing similar numbers.

Also is there anyway of contacting developer?

CHAOTICPIXEL  What can I say? This is everything you could want in a clipboard app. It is lightweight, fast, easy to use, has all the basic features you could need and ... IT'S FREE! I have bought other clipboard apps in the past and they have all bugged me one way or another. How ironic is it that I go with a free one, and it is everything I wanted? Go figure.

Download it, try it, use it, worry free!

Pros: small to no footprint (you can have it visible only upon custom hotkey combo or just menu icon); it uses little resources (after running it for days, it is 20MB and 0 CPU w/100 items), it can paste rich or plain text, you can store snippets for future use and did I mention ITS FREE!

Cons: Of course it is not fancy and pretty as it is just a functional menu; you can't organize or save items in special folders; it is not sharable over the network, but I wouldn't expect it to as it is a free app; it doesn't massage my feet at night.

MDAY108  A long long time ago...

in a galaxy far far away...

there was once an invaluable

little bundle of code called...isnip.

Anyone who used isnip

for more than 14.3 seconds

always used it from then on.

I loved isnip

and it was a sad day for me

and every mac buddy I know

when the developer of isnip vanished.

Ever since that moment...

I've tried every clipping app there is

and nothing has come close until the day...

when I suddenly became aware of...

ClipMenu!

Talk about joy...

it's everything that isnip was and more.

Plus...it's everything that isnip wasn't.

No bloatware here...

no trying to park your car

when you just want to snip a clip.

So my dear clipper friend has reincarnated

and in its new form...

I can only say welcome back to MacEarth...

and I salute you with definitely 5 stars.

DMU  Clipboard utilities have been a bit of an obsession for me. I've been trying to find the right one since the late 90s with Copy/Paste -- which was and is confusing overkill. Several apps post-OS X would do me okay for awhile, but then I would get tired of missing this feature, or disliking the way that feature worked. I have seriously tried every single one and even own quite a few out of hastiness and bundles. But in the end, the clear winner is ClipMenu. It is nearly perfect for what I need. Fast, easy, not so many features that it becomes confusing, keeps an organized history, includes custom favorites, a configurable menu view... it's just simply awesome. I was happy to donate to the attentive and gracious author. I suggest you download this immediately, and try it. Once you love it, reward my hero with a few bucks, too!

DEMORAY  There are countless clipboard utilities available, but ClipMenu is my current favorite for two big reasons:

1). It's FREE!

2). The features offered by ClipMenu can only be compared to the more expensive clipboard alternatives. No other free clipboard app that I've tried comes close to this.

Thanks to the developer for supporting the Mac community with this excellent utility.
